Love this game but not in both systems, prefer Ds
i love this game but i prefer the Ds version because it seems to have a better set up than the Wii version. in the Wii version you have a screen that does not fit the whole TV and is sitting kind of like a tab corresponding to another little screen. basically the first screen is the bottom part of the Ds and the second screen is top part of the Ds. Its sometimes hard to pick up the sensor when u have to switch from one screen to the next and is pretty much a pain to do so. Don't get me wrong if you first played the game on the Wii then you would probably prefer the Wii but i started playing it on the Ds so i prefer the Ds, this game is a 8 out of 10.

Would recommend for casual gamers
The story line is pretty decent, the game itself has exceptional graphics for the DS, the elements play in perfectly. I would recommend this to anyone other than hardcore gamers as this is the easier when compared to the rest of the final fantasy series. Regardless its a must have for any Final Fantasy fan out there and its a great game overall filled with hours of adventurous gameplay.

Not for harcore gamers, but a good game.
Anyone who wants a hardcore RPG don't buy this. It is very cutesy and not a real RPG , not for hardcore gamers. But if you want an intuitive adventure game to keep you busy sure. It would be good for your kid or casual gamer. It also has pretty nice graphics and as I mentioned very intuitve.

Pretty good
I got this game a back during summer break so I'd have somthing to do in the car and man was I glad I got this! the storyline is a bit on the simple side but that helps if you've never played a crystal chronicles game before (which I have not). the controls are simple aside from magic selection which can be pretty anoying when your last charatcer's about to get owned, thankfully you can still play as "ghosts" of characters in your party who were killed (so long as atleast one is still alive) to find an iteam called pheonix down which can bring you back to life if none of the living players can cast rise on them. You can also "dress-up" your characters with armor and weapons to make some pretty cool(or funny) looking warriors plus your gear levels up with you so you dont have to buy new stuff as often, iteam levels cap at 3 though so you'll have to replace it with somthing better eventually. The graphics are pretty good seeing how its a DS game. The only real downside I can see to this game is the length and challenge. you start off forced to play on normal mode (which should be renamed very easy) and its length is a bit short (especially seeing how I beat it in 3 days) and when you do finish it you dont even get an afterstory. You either keep playing from there or go to new game+ which allows you to select the next difficulty or an easier one. The game has some replay value though, like trying to find and hire all 8 mercinairies that are scatered all over the place and require different tasks to aquire them. The story also has a good sense of humor which pulled me back in more than anything else.

Gamers Got to Get Game (GGTGG)
I just got this game yester day it is awesome. no doubt in my mind it is the best ds game out right now!!!!! You get to make your team, dress them, name them and FIGHT with them. Once you get the hang of the game you can become unbeatable. One of the best parts about this game is all tribs cann use other tribes gear and weapons!!!!! The storyline is great there is a twist around every courner. This game also test your gaming skill in combat and unlocking new places. You have to do different things to completethe area but the things you learn at the begining of the game help you get through the areas to. Also to getting to the bosses is really challenging. You HAVE to stop and think how to get through the (puzzles) while battling!!!!!!!! *Lastly, the game really starts after you beat FIRE MOUNTIAN* GO OUT AND GET THIS GAME NOW OR YOUR CRARY!!! LOL

Lots of fun!
Its the best in the series so far! I've logged at least seven hours on to the game so far and am loving it. If you like hack slash games that have lots of sweet weapons and armor, look pretty, and are fun to play this look no further! I've enjoyed all three of the crystal chronicle games, but this one the most! I recommend that anyone who loves have a good time with friends or just random people should get this cuz its awesome. My only complaint is that sometimes online you get matched up with really strong people who can just run you through a dungeon real quick, which sometimes is nice. When more and more people buy this game it will be great online. Right now Im just playing with mostly, but not always, people from Japan who have beaten the game 10 times, get this game now!

No Chalice, No Meeth, No Problem
The first Crystal Chronicles game was honestly a pain to play. Not because it wasn't good, but because it had so many unlikable things about it that it's high points were often covered up by messy gameplay, hundreds of annoying glitches, and suicidal partner AI. Going back to Crystal Chronicles in its newest run, I was skeptical about it's potential. We all know that sequels are meant to be better than its previous game, but all to often they are wrecked by being identical to the previous game, with a few new additions randomly thrown at the wall, but not really sticking. However, It seems that we can all rely on Square- Enix to deliver. The sequel is much better than the original, and it really seems that the developers went back on the form of the first one, and really considered what they themselves did not like, and what needed to be fixed. This game is very similar to the first in terms of gameplay, but with a few welcome additions. In Ring of Fates, melee was the only way to succeed in the game, as magic was meant only for puzzle solving, archers had no aiming mechanism, and the alchemist lilties were slow and their only decent attack ran the risk of hurling you off the edge of a cliff. In Echoes of Time, you are allowed to run through the entire game with one character if you wish, or you can create other characters, and even opt to take them out of your party. Any class can now wield any weapon, but they all have proficiencies in some. Take for instance, Selkies who are fast and can double jump, and are proficient with bows (which i might add now apply and auto- lock on shot that will aim at a target near a straight line away from you, which works very well), but you can also give a Selkie a sword or a spear, and even though they will not have as long of combos with a sword as a Clavat, who are meant to weild them, a Selkie with a sword can be transformed from an archer to a double- jumping and incredibly fast swordsman. The partner AI can also be adjusted using tactics like "protect yourself" or "just follow me". This works well, and your partners will even help you fight monsters, unlike the last game where they sat around and had to be revived every 3 minutes (30 seconds, on a boss). I would still have to say that the best feeling class to be is a Clavat, who use swords, because they get combos with swords, and do at least three times the damage of any other class, and can also use magic reasonably well. I always saved up my money to additionally buy a spear and a bow, along with my Clavat's sword, so i could switch weapons, which added another dimension to the gameplay. The huge amount of character customization and crafting abilities work even better in this game, and armor adds little to stats, so it is really more about making your character look cool, which is still a functional aspect of the game. The magic system is the same as the last game, hold X to move a targeting ring, release to cast, or press L to lock it and cast another magic on top of it to chain their power for added effects. In Ring of Fates, to use magic you needed orbs which you could only carry a set amount of, and heavily discouraged the use of magic for anything other than puzzles. This time around, the amount of times you use magic is unlimited, but depends on your mp. The biggest standout of the Crystal Chronicles series is all of the puzzles. These can all be accomplished with one character, and are imaginative, and sometimes a real challenge to figure out. However, there are a few things that i did not like about EoT, despite the many changes, The camera is as stubborn as ever, locked in one view depending on the room, and sometimes getting stuck in front of walls making you maneuver around so you can see what you need to see. Also, sometimes your next objective is a bit unclear, making it necessary for you to run around aimlessly for a bit, and sometimes you may need to talk to one obscure person in town to unlock th

hmmm...
Well this games is pretty cool I got it last night, but I expected better graphics and be able to save whenever I need to. Its kind of dumb actually having to go touch a special crystal to save, and there hard to find. I mean what if I needed to save real quick to go eat dinner or go to school? I can't because you basically have to finish a giant monster if you want to get out of a battle field and save, unless you just wanna start all over again and save at a village or something, The graphics are OK. But I was expecting something a little better, but I have to remember how Chocobo tales final fantasy's graphics were. These two game's graphics are very similar. I really enjoy the music, they did a great job on that. The controls are hard to get use to and use in a hurry but I hope I can break them in later. The story line is kinda weak...SO FAR. I like the fact that you get to battle A LOT. And that items come out of the monsters you defeat. I also like customizing my character but sometimes find it difficult to customize them. So if you don't mind A LITTLE BIT of poor graphics, don't really care about controls because your a super awesome gamer, and don't mind beating a whole section before you actually make progress and save... this is the game for you. Its fun but it could be better, there goes my $40, this was more expensive than Pokemon platinum.

Fun Stuff
I bought FFCC Echo of fate last night for the DS. I love the fact that you can go online with anyone in the world and play (as long as the person you are playing with is helpful). I wish there was voice chat, but the text messaging works well. Getting online is really easy, with no lag issues so far. The puzzles are a good time, especially working with your teammates to figure them out. My only grunt with the game is that the controls can be frusterating. You can pick up your teamates by accident really easy, but that's a minor issue really. The graphics are good for the limitations of the DS, and the voice acting is ok. I would love to see more DS titles come out utilizing the WIFI online aspect. Especially multiplayer WITHOUT FRIEND CODES!!!! I HATE FRIEND CODES! I recommend picking this one up for the DS. FUN STUFF!

More FF CC for DS, Awesome
Loved the first one for ds and multiplayer was pretty good, but after u finish the story in multiplayer and campaign it got a little dry. I don't see why there needs to be a wii version but i agree with whoever said it should have special stuff, not that i ever play my wii anymore. I'm sure i'm gonna love this game. if only my brother liked these kind or if only my friends would buy these games then i could play multiplayer with someone i know. FF CC Echoes should borrow the picture chat that phantasy star zero is using. Then the chat everything looks great including the new world map feature.
