Worst game I ever played
I got this game thinking it would be a fun game where I can design clothes, do makeup, and style hair. I didn't get to do any of it. You go to your office where you have an assignment. For example, once I got an assignment to get an african model, give her 3 different african hairstyles, and take pictures of her in the appropriate place. I got the model, but then I realized I had no clue what an African hairstyle was. I tried tons of combinations, but each time it told me the same thing, "Make sure you get an African hairstyle." It is so picky. When you do hair, you just scroll through hairstyles. Same with the makeup. You don't actually apply it to the model. Taking pictures is so boring. Fashion shows are hard. It takes so much consentration and you never know what will happen next. The graphics are horrible for the dsi xl. To sum it up, the whole game is just bad. It isn't much fun. Plus, I bought the game yesterday evening, and I beat it already. It's challenging, but needs a lot more missions.

Worst game ever!
Ok...I'm an adult, but my 8 year old daughter played this game, too, & disliked it as much as I did. First of all, the background music is the same ANNOYING things playing over & over. This game sucked worse than you can even imagine. Here's what you do: They give you an assignment. You have to pick which of the 4 models would suit best. Then, you "design" the outfit. This consists of picking from one of the few shirt/pants/skirt templates & deciding which color or, (once you unlock them,) pattern you want for it. Then, once you unlock some stuff, sometimes you'll get to add shoes, a purse, glasses, or a hat if you want. Once in a while you can choose the makeup, hairstyle, & hair color, but not always. Finally, you take pictures of your model. To do that, you pick the obvious background they want, then you can zoom in or out, or turn from one side of the model to the other. She'll stand there making the same 2 or 3 poses over & over, & you just click about 20 times. It's boring. Then they tell you whether you got the assignment right or not. If not, you have to do it again. The worst part is, most of the time you're going to get it wrong. You'll try to change one of their crappy templates into an outfit you think works best for the assignment they give you, & most of the time they'll tell you it's wrong. Finally, after trying every possible thing, you'll pick the one you think couldn't possibly be it, & sure enough it works. It wasn't easy for me to get it right, & for an 8 year old, (who it's supposed to be geared toward,) it just gets to be frustrating & annoying. There's no freedom to "design" anything. You just have to hope & guess until you "design" what they want. I say "design" because there's really no designing to it. They give you a few sucky, awful templates to use, & you have to fill in the color. And, a lot of the time, there's no accessories that match or look even halfways decent. There's one pathetic mini-game in amongst this mess. It's a "runway show" where all you do is touch or trace the right thing at the right time. This could've been an awesome game, & I'm hoping that with "Fashion Designer- World Tour" they improved on it a great deal. Just from the pictures it looks much better than this game. We own a lot of different kinds of games, & this has been by far the worst. In my opinion, all of Imagine's games are too short. They do have some good ones...they just don't last long enough for the price they cost. They won't change it, though, when people are willing to pay it for their kids. If I didn't play them myself I probably wouldn't know the difference. At least, if you're gonna buy one of their games, though, don't buy this one!

Very dissapointed
I got this game thinking it would be fun. I thought I would be able to create my own designs, I was mistaken. Not only do you have to follow the tasks, you dont get to let your creativity flow. The graphics were bad to say the least. The music got boring after a while. I finished this game in an hour, I wasn't entertained and one of the tasks imparticular was not for younger audiences. I wouldn't recommend this game to anyone, especially not younger children, it would be to hard for them to figure out. I believe the controls were good. It was easy to work with and not hard to figure out how to use them. In summary, I would not recommend this to anyone who likes to be creative or likes to freeform clothes. I believe it is boring and I didn't get my moneys worth.

Your the fashion designer NOT
I got the imagine fashion designer when it first came out. I was so excited when i got it and when i played it, my thoughts changed. The game isn't what it seems. You have to design everything they want perfectly and with barely any clothes. I was in my teens and still couldn't figure it out. The game just sits in a pile now. I wouldn't waste my money on this. The graphics are horrible too. The girls are not pretty. The game is not even realistic at all. I played it maybe 3 times and that is it. This game is definitely not for younger kids, its way to difficult to figure it out. Whoever is making the imagine games needs to make them more realistic including their graphics. I was definitely disappointed with this game though. It could Have been so much better.

Is imagine fashion designer worth it?
The game definitely wasn't what I expected it to be. I thought that you would be able to freely create your own fashion designs and show them. However, that isn't the case... you have to follow a task and make the cloths how as you are instructed to do. If you can't make the outfit perfectly you don't pass and you have to keep doing the same task over and over again... I found the game very boring for this reason. I have been stuck on the task of creating a blues outfit for 5 weeks... that is way to long! I have had the thought of trading the game cross my mind many times. You don't only have to make the clothing perfect you have to do their make-up perfect and if you cant do just one little thing you fail the hole task. I found the game fun in the beginning but once you really start to play it you loose interest.

Good for Your Career
I want to be a designer so this game is perfect for me, but someone who wants to be a doctor for example may have a different outlook on this game. I guess it all depends on what you are intrested in. I mean if you just want the game go for it and enjoy it!

could be good
I think this could be a good game if you like to disign clothing, but if you don't then it could be boring. It would all depend on your interests!
