Not Just For Kids!
I Am 13 And I Still Play Lego Games. I Really Don't Care If I Get Made fun Of. I Love Lego games. I Love The Toys And I Love All The creations You Can Build. Lego Battles For The DS Was Very Fun And It Kept Me Entertained For Hours. I Spent About A Week Playing It And Then Moved On To Some Console Lego Games. By Far My Favorite Is Lego Star Wars The Complete Saga For The Wii. I Buy Most Of My Lego games On The Wii Because I Feel They Are More Fun, Idk Thats Just Me. I Am Currently Waiting on Lego: Lord Of The Rings Which Comes Out November 13th, The Same Day As BO2 (Black Ops 2) It's Real Nice Because I Get A Double Release That Day. Anyway Lego battles Was very Fun, My Bro Had An Epic Time With It Just As I Did. I Recommend Lego Battles For The DS.

Best strategy game!
Lego Battles has 90 story mode levels and 30 free play levels! The gameplay is awsome, the cutscenes are funny and the characters are epic! There are six different storys, King's, Wizard's, Imperial's, Pirate's, Earth's and Alien's (which I think is the best.). All in all this is by far my favorite DS game!

good strategy game
One of the only good RTS games that comes for the DS. Although this is only a DS game, it cant have an amazing gameplay. but it is a good, callenging game

Meh...
I got this game for Christmas one year and it was kind of confusing at first , because it made you do everything yourself. I actually had to look at my enemies to know what items did what. The graphics aren't like on other games, and the levels all circle around the same kind: you usually have to defend something, find and destroy something, or repair something. The multiplayer isn't very fun, either. i'll just say, it isn't an ordinary LEGO game. you don't have to agree with me 100%, so tell me if you like the review or not and read some others, that's what i do.

A Good Game With Some Issues
I want to make this clear right off the bat: LEGO Battles isn't like the other LEGO games. Instead of being an action-adventure game, it's a full-fledged Real Time Strategy game, even if it's a little dumbed down. That being said, I'll continue with my review.
LEGO Battles is a fun, but basic, RTS game. The gameplay is just enough of a challenge to keep you interested, but not too hard that you get frustrated. The music is very quiet, but, when you can hear it, it's a nice ambient soundtrack and isn't very distracting. The graphics during gameplay are okay, but the cutscene graphics are astounding! They look amazing and capture the the trademark silliness of LEGO games.
There are some problems in LEGO Battles though. The first one that comes to mind is the fact that studs can only be found in Story Mode levels and not in Free Play. Another thing about the studs is that there are only twenty in each level, but all of the units worth purchasing are at least thirty studs. These two problems combine to make it very frustrating to get new units.
The biggest problem is definately the AI of your units. They're just plain dumb. Here's an example: I set my worker to harvest trees. After a couple of trips back to the harvester, he goes back by the trees and just stands there, not harvesting when he's set to harvest. There are still plenty of trees around him, but he doesn't harvest untill I set him to harvest again.
All in all, LEGO Battles is a basic RTS game that is good if you can work around some of it's bigger flaws.

DON'T BUY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As a hardcore lego fan I was surprised! This game has the worst storyline ever! The sound was terrible! Although some of the graphics, such as before a story were ok, the in game graphics were TERRIBLE! I am probably wrong but I think they were 32 or 64 bit. Don't get me started on the gameplay....
