Get this beautiful game!!! <3
THIS GAME IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! This game has an outstanding storyline, loveable characters, plenty of action and adventure, and keeps you wanting more. I initially received this game close to its release date, and I was pretty young, barely an experienced reader. I was stuck on a part, and stopped playing the game for a while. DON'T DO THIS! I came back to the game a few years later, when I was old enough to understand the concept and plot, and immediately fell in love with this phenomenal game. Of course, I got passed the part I was stuck on (all I needed to do was level up). The game has excellent cut scene graphics, and great graphics otherwise. There is enough challenge in the game that keeps you abrusk and makes you enjoy it. You never know what's coming next, so it's always good to be prepared. Also, the currency in this game is ACCESSIBLE AND EASY TO ATTAIN!!! In some games, though not most, it is hard to earn money. Money in RPG'S are how you buy needed supplies and things of the such, and if you can't get money easily... well you're pretty much done for and it doesn't make the experience fun AT ALL. I'm pleased to say that money wasn't a problem in this game, and is found from anywhere from winning battles, selling things you don't need, and even found in chests in dungeons or planets. The storyline screams adventure, and even a little romance between the characters. :3 The battles are easy to comprehend, and when you start a new game, there are tutorials to help you understand (there is even an option to go over the tutorials, in case you need to hear them again). I loved the option of choosing to be a boy or a girl because most games make you be a boy, which is annoying for the girls. This game, as I said, leaves you wanting more! I haven't yet finished this game because I'm enjoying it so much, I want to make it last. I recommend this game to all players, especially those new to RPG'S! I wish there was a sequal!!! <3 P.S. I also recommend any Pokemon games!
An amazing RPG
If you've played other Brownie Brown games before, like Mother 3 and the Mana series, you already know what they're capable of. This game was also made by that company, so it's just as amazing. The game does start out a bit slow, but as the story develops, it gets intense. It's very easy to get attached to the kooky little cast of characters, each unique in their own ways. The plot is very witty and creative, and it becomes very intense. The graphics are very well done for a DS game, and the 3D scenes aren't the bad 3D graphics commonly seen in DS games. The music is also very well composed and I love it! The game's appeal overall is just amazing, I have a save right before the end of the game, and I always replay it. I've beaten the game several times, so there's no doubt you'll want to play the game over. There is only one thing I'm dissappointed about- The Tag mode feature. It's a shame they never put a Wi-Fi version on it, then people would be able to recruit more teammates faster and not have to worry about whether or not their friends have the game and are willing to play tag mode with them. The game might be a bit hard for people who haven't played RPGs before and casual gamers, so I recommend it if you're a hardcore gamer.
A fun Adventure.
The story in this game is very well thought out and the characters are well divided with good powers. The combat system is well designed and includes the ability to boost the damage of the magic attacks that you do by tapping the character at the correct time. The other thing that works extremely well with the combat system is the fact that another bonus has to do with the alignment of the planets as well as the time of day. (In the game of coarse, not real time.) This is an aspect that was new and different to me, not to mention one that was interesting because it had to do with the planets not astrological signs or something like that.
Remember the touch screen!
I love this game. And please if you get stuck, tap around. It has magic, fighting, biting wit, a PLOT, and a fun battle system. Yes, you do have to level up. Yes there are boss battles at frequent and somewhat inopportune moments aka after a monster infested hallway. It has several hours worth of game play and the cut scenes have great graphics. And yes, if you really want to make it hard you can go out of order. It has just enough freedom that you don't feel rushed and incapable of coming back but not so much that you are left wandering about wonder how to get anywhere. So color me impressed, and color me FINISHED!
This game is great and a must-buy for any game player. The only cons are you can't really dress up your charcter [many games have that, a.k.a. you put on a dress and it changes the visual apperance] and it is too hard to level up fast enough to learn really cool spells. This game is a nice mix of humor, adventure, and action. There are a lot of boss battles and fights that you have to do in order to beat the game. The music is really cool [I like the music when you are fighting pirate otters] and the battling style isn't too hard to master. Any game player would like this game. Most of the animated charcters in this game aren't human, but are very cute! The graphics are very cool in intense battles, but cute in cutscenes.
