PSO on the go
If you love PSO or PSU, then this is one to pick up. Overall, it feels alot more like PSO especially with Mags and completely random levels. Lots of weapons and armor to collect as we all awesome multiplayer. You can draw and save chat buttons which is also a que on PSO. Even the story is very solid and interesting. While this game is great there is a few short comings. graphics are great for a DS system and sega did good working with the limitations but sometimes just isnt smooth enough. The maps are random by a block system. The only real downside to this is moving from block to block gives a second of white. Also the weapon count is alittle light. However, this is a 100+ hr adventure when you play through all 3 storylines and collect everything. It's a keeper

Not what i expected.
One day i went to Gamestop, looking around for a while when i found this game. i wanted it badly but i only had 34 bucks on me, and the game was 34.99 with tax. so, i wanted to know if they had it used. but they didnt so i went to a different gamestop that had it and bought it because it looked cool because of the dragon on the front. i started to play, it, yeah it was pretty cool, the whole anime themed clips. but when i went tthrough the levels, it was weird. i realised the graphics were horrible, the levels were boring, and the way your health goes quickly i didnt like. it was not fair to me that i had to keep restarting the quest each time. when i had to stop playing my DSiXL i had to quit my quest because it doesnt save quest data. i returned the game, even though it was pre- owned. i was so happy i returned it. i was also happy i didnt pay 35 bucks for a new copy because it is SO not worth the money.

THIS GAME IS GREAT, but .....
I totaly recomened this to anyone who has a D.S. this game is totaly amazing with all the differnet monsters all of the wepons and combinations you can make, but this game isnt all good, there are still some things that make this game a no go.=( some of these things are leveling up, its easy to level up in the begining but later on monsters are either to tough to fight or to weak to get EXP. Also, bosses. I like bosses as much as the next guy but these bosses are usually way to hard to fight once you approch them at the level you are so then you need to level up and then see if you can kick but.

Interesting plot
i have actually tried all three types of characters and discovered i am best as a HUCAST as i have used only a clear sabre to defeat my enemies and have beaten the first 3 bosses

zero... Really???
I have had the game for only about a week now, and must say, I am impressed. Granted the monsters are repetative, there is more to this game than I thought. not only could you upgrade your weapons, but your armor and your "Mag" as well. you have 6 slots for hot keys. The difficulty level is rather annoying for hardcore gamers, but is a great way for casual and weekend gamers to slowly become an expert at real time battle games. The graphics are a bit better than usual for most ds games. And the music... Well, its no real treat. Lastly, I am going to have to give this game ahigh score. I must admit, this is one of only 2 games for the ds I havent gotten bored of in 3 days. Overall this game is one game i wont give up yet.

Fun the first time through
One word to describe this game is "Repetative". There are 3 modes Easy, Hard, and Super Hard. By default you play easy, which allows even the newest gamer to easily get through the game. You have to get to level 30 before you can even try out the other modes, or really get any challenge out of the game. The controls are at best: okay, and the Moving the camera around is a bit annoying. You are able to use 3 hot-keys which allow you to attack, use magic, or roll. Since there are 11 magic techniques, and 2 attack techniques(one weak attack, and 1 strong one), you are very limited when it comes to actually using the hot-keys. The music get's really old, and annoying after a while. The only thing you can customize is your weapon. Though most weapons are the same just a different color. For the Nintendo DS the graphics are fantastic, the detail put into the boss's is on par with PS2 graphics(Not saying alot, but pretty good for a handheld system). The game on easy takes about a day to play, and get's progressively harder with each difficulty mode. The Storyline is unique and original; it is probally the best part about the game. The first time playing through the game, it's exciting your absorbed in the story, and you won't want to put the game down. As you unlock harder modes it gets boring and repetative. Once you clear Super hard mode, there isn't alot more to do other than playing the same exact levels you've already played with your friends using the multiplayer function. I give this game a 7/10 because after you beat it, it'll go into your gaming library never to be picked up again. Phantasy Star Zero is a fun experience for about 3 days.

If you like PSO
If you like PSO and PSU then you will like PS zero. This game has decent graphics considering that it's for the DS. I love how they brought back the fighting style of PSO, the MAG's, and armor slot selection. Plus they added the ability to roll away from an attack!!! I also like the fact that you can play with you character from the story mode online, that really bugged me about PSU. They also added photon arts to weapons. I love that they did that. The only thing that saddened me is that the level cap is only 100. When you get to the hardest difficulty, it makes it really hard to kill things when you know that your not going to level up any more. I have played just about every version of Phantasy Star that has ever come out and this is definitely one of the best.

Perfect Roleplaying game
This game is one of the best games I've ever played. It has great character customizability, and there is no lack of challenge. Three months after I got it, I'm still playing it a lot. The only part that wasn't great was the storyline, which is good in the begginging but gets worse. The game has 15 sidequests, which are mostly comical, but provide extra challenges. The game has tons of different weapons, which are great since when you get bored of one type, you can switch to another for a different gameplay. I just wish that the gun blade type weapon was for the melee classes too. My best character is currently a level 56 human melee, and I hate that I can't use gunblades. The wifi isn't good. One time, I played with this guy. He was great during the actual dungeon part, but as soon as we got to the boss, he just equiped a shield and blocked for the whole battle. I understand how this strategy works, but leaving it to your teamate (who's 20 levels below you) is just plain mean. Not only that, but some people don't even do anything for the entire dungeon. They just follow and collect spoils and Exp.
