It would take me hours to say howgood this game is! All I can say is that the can be hard at times and that it is turn based. But just a great game over all

One of My Favorite Games!
Freaking love this game!!! The plot is interesting and unique, the plot is surprisingly long. It is pretty difficult but not so much so that you get frustrated with it. The graphics are good and the gameplay is awesome. The battles are turn based and require some strategy and planing before hand. You have a lot of flexibility in the game, you can explore the city and talk to many different characters through out the course of the game. I strongly recommend this to anyone who loves great RPGs.

Best game ever?
I bought this game quite some time ago (around christmastime). It took about three to four months to actually complete. Why is this? This specific SMT game has a thrilling, deep, and life-like story that kept me playing until the wee hours of the morning. The story line is complex and AS your character, your opinions in the game can alter the ending of the game. So far, I have completed three of the SIX alternate endings. Through those different endings, you can gain new allies, new demons and of course, new stories. This quality gives the game a long life in my library of games. Devil Survivor also utulizes elements from other games in the SMT universe. These include the demon selection and the act of fusing new, powerful demons. New Game+ is a totally different experience. You are allowed to keep your demons from the previous games which can ultimately change the course of the game. I have to bite my tounge from revealing more about the game. But I must say, as a long time, hardcore gamer, this is a must have for all lovers of the SMT universe!

Deep, descent RPG for the Nintendo DS
I had been eyeballing this game for over 2 weeks and now I own it, and apparently, it's one of the greatest games I had ever played. So simply Tokyo is in full lockdown because of a demon attack so no one can enter, no one can escape, and the entire Tokyo will die in 6 days unless if Hero, Yuzu and Asturo can stop the demons. This is a very fun combo of Role playing and turn based strategy for the DS.

A different RPG / Strategy game
Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor is a RPG / Strategy game that presents a good balance between a classical RPG that allows you to level character and a strategy-tactical game that challenges your mind. If you ever played the "Persona" games on the PS2, it is really similar but a bit easier. Graphically, it's not the most astounding game, but it is way above average. The sound is good and the character voice is great. The Devil auction part might be a bit redundant, but it allows you to buy the needed demons to perform fusion, which allows to level-up your demons and become more powerful. If you want a game that balance tactics, role-playing and customization this game will be perfect. The story is good and the interface is simple to learn.

A Strong Contender for Handheld Game of The Year
I heard some Buzz circulating around this game for a while, So I Decided to pick up Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor for The DS. Needless to say, I Was not disappointed at all with this title. I found the storyline intriguing, Tokyo is in Lockdown, Demons are on The Loose, And Your Actions decide who lives and dies, and more importantly if you live or die. The Customization of Parties (4 Characters max with 2 demons each) is a step above other RPG/Strategy games I have seen on the market. I was also highly impressed at the way Atlus ( The Games Developer) made the challenge. This isn't the type of game that you can easily blow through in a few hours, but one that will take time and make it worth the money you spent on it. To any fan of Strategy or RPG games, with Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor, You can't go wrong.

A great title for the Nintendo DS
When I picked up this title, I didn't know what to think. I am a fan of RPG and tactical titles and frankly a bit burnt out on tactical. But something drove me to purchase this title and I can say I am not disappointed at all! The story line is excellent and keeps me hooked. As the story line evolves as you play the game and you are presented with choices on the linear path. The title also contains many endings to the story based on what course you take. Early on, the story will annoy you a bit, but later on, you will really dive deep into it. The cross elements of RPG and tactical battle systems mesh well. You face a traditional tactical battle board. But when you approach enemies to attack, you are presented with a RPG battle scene. The main force behind the battles and the game would be the battling, training and fusing demons(monsters) as you progress through the game. Each character is allowed two demons(monsters) on their team/unit. There are plenty of elements, I.E. magic, abilities, etc. packed into the title so that you will spend a good amount of time unlocking and building the best teams possible. The interface, graphics and sound drives the title home for a must have!

A very tough game to say the least
Well if you have never played a Shin Megami Tensei game this would definently be the time to start especially if you are looking for a challedge. When i first tried this game out when i preordered it it was a fairly different concept then the normal rpg. But it was a little like the game The World Ends With You, okay now to talk about the challenge, interface, controls, sound, customization, graphics, length, and storyline. Challenge: This game is the hardest game i have ever played on the Nintendo DS, but i most say its addicting to keep trying and trying to beat the demons you must fight along the way. I will give this a solid 10. Interface: Its pretty good like i said already its like The World Ends With You but thats a great game so i would give this a 10 Controls: There is only two methods of control in this game while battling and while going to another area, going to another area consists of just picking where to go on the large scale map of Tokyo. In battle on the other hand is far different, it has a Final Fantasy tactics feel to it without the obstacles so i will give this a 9. Sound: In game there is no voice acting (from my experience so far) and while reading dialogue the same two songs play in the background which isn't bad i can tell in the future it will get annoying. This gets an 8 Customization: There is no customization for the protagonsit of the story except for giving him a name but what there is is demon customization which is basically fusing two of your demons into a more powerful one this is awesome to me so i will give it a 10. Graphics: All graphics are hand drawn so thats pretty cool but there is no animation of the sort which in my opinion isn't bad as long as the story is good i will give this a 9. Length: I just started this game but i will be guesstimating around sixty to eighty hours. 10 Storyline: Its all in all pretty dang great especially with all the different aspects you meet while going through the game. And already with my two or three hours put into this game i have already met a serious obstacle that is tough to overcome. 10. In conclusion if you are looking for a tough game on the DS or DSI as i was then this is the game to get it is a go to game which never seizes to surprise me all and all it is worth the *****

awesome!
I honestly haven't played any other SMT game, but based on the preview from Nintendo Power, the game looks very appealing, and it sounds like it has a solid story. They didn't really cover the battle system though, i'll probably wait for the reviews and if its good, then i'll pick it up. Sounds like a great game for the Nintendo DS's library. I'm looking forward to it.
