Great game
I have had this game since it came out and I love it. First off I will say I love the ds version better than the wii version. I enjoyed the graphics and really loved the fact that you go threw the ages. You start out in the old age times like the dawn of civilization where your people are cave men and you build stuff with trees instead of money and can go as far as the future era. there are many things to unlock . the game gives you a section on the main menu that shows all your unlocked buildings and ones you have yet to unlock but there are some buildings that they don't mention. some of the buildings even change form threw the ages, like the alter. I have played this game many times and have enjoyed it every time I play it . the easiest way to play this game is to use the MONEYBAGS password, which gives you unlimited money. but it is still really fun if you decide not to use it. The global warming age is the hardest to beat I find. also out of all the times I have played this game I have yet to reach the future era. I have heard that older versions of the game are not able to reach this level but I am not sure of that. but even with not reaching the future era you see the credits and complete the game. it is alot of fun and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys sim city games.

OK at first
At first I like the game, but over time, it was the same thing over and over again-place streets, make electricity available, blah blah blah.
Gameplay-This game is pretty easy. The Freeplay mode is fun, except the first time you play you can only choose from one type of map to build your city on. Also, you have only $50,000 to start out with. (Hint: Enter MONEYBAGS exactly the way I have it written at the password screen in Options) The Challenge mode is fun once you get farther into time. You start out in the Stone Ages and progress through times like the Renaissance Age, the Asian Development Age, and the Global Warming Age-present age.
Sound-To make a long story short, the music stinks like a dirty diaper.
Graphics-The graphics are okay except the buildings look flat and the trains don't turn on the railroad tracks.
Lasting Appeal-The game gets old the more you play. I for one haven't played every age in Challenge Mode but once you play a lot of the ages, you get bored because most of the ages are basically the same things, except the buildings look different.
Conclusion-Overall, if you liked the Sim City games for PC, you will like this game. If not, don't waste your money unless you buy it for a very-and I mean very-low price.

Worst game i ever bought
honestly, i would rather read a dictionary that's in a different language than this. Literally. The gameplay is sooooooooooooooooooo boring. You have these spots to build stuff, but disasters always pops up to destroy it. And guess what...... that is the whole game. Everything about this is the worst!!!! I disliked it so much, i returned it a cople of days after. DO NOT BUY.

A good game
This is an awsome game. For those sim sim city veterans that have played most every sim city games, expect the graphics of sim city 3000. For everyone else, there are only about 5 types of buildings for each zone, and the density of that zone. The interface is simple, though talking to the people at the edge of the screen is dificult. Also the grid is realy small making it hard to delete what you want and nothing else (other mistakes you can undo). The realism is ok, but in theory you can have a European city with a Pagonda in it. This game is full of surprises, and has atleast 30 hours of gameplay to unlock every time period in challange mode. The worst thing about this game is you can only freeplay the time periods you have unlocked, so you cannot start out playing in modern times. The second worst thing is that this gsme's music is horrible, if you buy this game, expect to turn it off. Highly recomend it if you are tired of the same old games and you want to play hours on end to see your city into the future with no real point involved.

Awesome
This game is great! its fairly easy to understand and there are suprises around every corner. you can play story mode or do a free play game! On story mode you start off in a villiage of indians. keep biulding onto your town and make it bigger and better. keep your villagers healthy and happy and you will evolve into a new era! it gets harder and harder to survive with each new time period. first there are tornadoes wich can savagly rip through your village and destroy your homes. one awnser to this problem is biulding an aultor. your people can pray and the tornadoe or "spin winds" will stop. in the next era there are fires! but to figure out how to deal with those i would buy it yourself. (plus i havnt gotten that far yet) This game is excellent and completely addicting (in a good way) the suprises around every corner keep you entertained forever!

Just Awful
I hadn't played any kind of Sims game in years and this looked like one I would really get into for the DS. From the begining, I was simply confused. Prehaps I'm just an idiot but at 32, it seemed I should have been able to figure it out. The controls didn't seem to make much sense. I sat for over an hour trying to figure it out and even looked online for help through various sites, only to find most post related to this game were people as confused as me. The graphics, even for a DS game, were not very good at all. Maybe it is better on the Wii but I won't bother trying it. It's one of those games that within less than an hour, I knew I wanted to return. There are many great games for the DS, so pass on this one, it is simply a mess of confusion and simply not enjoyable at all. I did have another in the house try it, incase it was just me, but it was just as bad and the booklet explainations were of no help.
