Deal or No Deal ============= Overview ============= Deal or No Deal is based on the TV show that once aired on NBC. The show typically ran for an hour with the player guessing which case amongst 26 contained $1,000,000. Of course, as the game went on the contestant would select cases knocking certain money amounts off the board and after so many cases were selected the banker would offer them money to leave the game hence the title of the show. ============= Gameplay ============= The game plays exactly like the show, but this is hardly exciting since it is game entirely based upon luck. There isn't any skill involved to the game, so quickly grows rather boring and tedious. All you do is randomly select cases hoping they contain small amounts of money so the banker will offer you more to leave the game, but the game doesn't keep track of your winnings or allow you to spend the money on power-ups to make subsequent runs through the game easier. ============= Graphics ============= This game is ugly to say the least. The host Howie Mandel is an eye sore to look at and the girls coming down the stairs isn't even animated. Its just a few still images. The Gameboy Advance is capable of better looking visuals. The issues may stem from the fact that the game tries to give the host a more three dimensional look but manages to fail spectacularly. ============= Sound ============= You have all of the familiar background music from the show. You also have the clapping of the audience to support you as well. Its to bad that Howie only has about three things to say about every single case you pick. If you pick a low amount, he goes "Yes!" and if you pick a medium amount he goes on about it being okay, and so on. ============= Lasting Appeal ============= Deal or No Deal comes with the main game and two mini games. The first of the mini games is to guess the combination lock on a vault door using the 26 cases from the show. The other mini game is high or low where you guess whether the next case will contain a higher or lower amount of money within it. ============= Scores ============= Gameplay: 5 Graphics: 2 Sound: 8 Lasting Appeal: 3 Overall: 4.5 7/2/12
