The third installment in the successful Midway Arcade Treasures series, this package focuses on Midway's run of blockbuster arcade racing games. Complete with multiplayer competitive experiences (in the arcade games that apply), the package includes San Francisco Rush -- The Rock: Alcatraz Edition, San Francisco Rush 2049, Hydro Thunder, Badlands, Off Road Thunder: Mud, Sweat 'N Gears, Super Off Road (and its Bonus Tracks Pack), Race Drivin', and S.T.U.N. Runner.

Midway Arcade Treasures 3 7 10 1 1

Lacks some arcade perfection, ok otherwise.... They did a pretty good job of emulating games such as San Francisco Rush, and Hydro Thunder, although the experience in these games is not quite perfect as you would expect it to be in an emulation from Midway. It seems these were cheap ports from other console versions with slightly updated graphics. Games like Stun Runner run too fast framerate wise from the original arcade machine, and games like Badlands, Race Driving, and Super Offroad suffer from sound emulation issues where the sound effects are a half second off from whats happening on the screen. Its slightly annoying but I dealt with it. Just wish this collection of arcade games was just as polished as the other two volumes they had released. A SIDE NOTE ABOUT THIS PARTICULAR VERSION OF THE GAME: It seems the Gamecube version of this game was released much later then the other versions of Midway Arcade Treasures 3 to polish up and fix any bugs the previous versions have. If you play it on other platforms it does not quite measure up to a fun experience. 7/5/12
