Portable Power Battery Pack for Nintendo 3DS
I haven't used every little feature of this thing, but it's definitely worth it, to me at least, so far. The one design flaw I don't like is that while it is attached to the 3DS, you can't access the stylus. You have to pull it off briefly to get to the stylus. Other than that, it's wonderful!
Best charger out there on 3DS
The CTA portable power battery pack has a similar design to the 3DS's charging dock, you pop it in and can let it charge on the dock. What's interesting about this charging dock is that it also has a battery indicated by the four blue lights when turned on. Though it requires its own power to charge your 3DS, it can simply be charged with a USB cable (included) or your own 3DS charger (note that it must be inserted upside down unlike the actual 3DS and its dock). The best part about the reason it has a battery is the fact that its portable. That's right, you can unplug the charger from this dock with your 3DS still on it and press the power button (on the charger) to charge your 3DS's battery. What is awesome about the battery pack is that it can also double your your 3DS's battery life. I've used this at the airport and it works fine on the plane with no cables, and on the go, without a car charger. This has to be one of the best 3DS chargers ever!
Useful tool, great when you don't have a charger.
Most of these reviews are talking about this product as another power dock, or external battery. But it's not, it's a power dock that charges when you don't have an outlet. Great for plane trips, when you run low on power, stick it on the dock and wait and it charges. I'm not saying this is breakthrough technology, but it does fix the only flaw on the 3DS, without adding bulk to the system.
3Ds Portable Battery Pack Review
This product does just what it says it does charging on the go very convinient when your out for long periods of time and need something to do gives u about an extra 3 hours of battery life. I do however have two complaints about it my first complaint is that it takes about 5 hours to fully charge which isn't really a big deal just put it on before you go to bed and it'll be good when you wake up. My second complaint is that the design of the battery pack takes up the whole back of the 3Ds making it more difficult to access the game card slot and the stylus. all and all though its a good product and a must have if your a hardcore gamer.
the only problem i see with the product is the fact that its too square looking, otherwise the idea of an external battery not needing installation is the best idea for 3ds batterys, i had a similar product for psp only it ran off 4 AA battrys. But this stand is fully rechargeable and and cradles your 3ds giving it a fresh charge, doubling its battry life. the square disign is compensated for the stand on the back of the unit used to stand your 3ds upright for optimal veiwing(perfect for netflix users). the only setback i see with this product is the fact that it does not work with 3ds shells so you'd have to take it off. The charger only has to be used once and then back to the shell. it is still unknown if the battyery sustains one charge or two charges before needing to recharge the pack.
this is gonna be awesome, the 3ds battery life is horrible,so this is definatley an upgrade.its way better than the external battery. u have to unSCREW it every single time.if u have a 3ds or are getting one, u will need this for long trips and everything else.
