Great Game, Worth Every Penny
I purchased the game last night and was pleasantly surprised when I started playing. I've played my fair share of RPGs, but this game honestly blows them out of the water. In most RPGs/MMORPGs, you start very slow, going to kill a few boars, or go run around town to find people before you go into an actual quest. This game throws you right into the action from the get go. You are summoned to a city of ruins right after leaving town and you learn to fight by actually fighting. The tutorial is built in so well that you don't even know it is one.
Now, for the game play aspect, it's superior in every aspect. The description tells it well, in that Action truly does meet RPG and in an amazing fashion. The fighting style and RPG mix reminds me a lot of Batman: Arkham Asylum, in that it's a free flowing fighting style. You can go to multiple enemies at a time and gain the bonus for those hits and then finish them off with a final blow. if you don't swing at the right time, you'll find out by getting hit. It's a great engine to make it a truly immersive experience.
During the game, in single player, you have the option to choose between 3 characters, and you can switch at each "check point", if you decide to. The AI engine for your comrades is much more advanced than most games. They fight and think like a human, not a programmed computer bot that is basically just a meat shield.
As showed in my ratings, the graphics are great. The details are amazing. Although, hopefully obviously, it takes a lot of GPU to run this game well. However, even at it's lowest settings, it's still very enjoyable.
As for audio, the same is seen (Or heard, I guess) throughout the game. The developers took their time to make sure what you are seeing on the screen matches up with what's heard through the speakers.
The multiplayer aspect is yet untested, but I will surely update when I get father into the game.
Overall, WB and SnowBlind made a very great game here. I'm not sure on lasting appeal, as again I've only played for a few hours in this massive landscape of game, but I have a feeling it won't be hard to have this game keep your interest. It is fully worth purchasing if you like fighting style games that are mixed in with an RPG.

This looks really good
I've always been a big LotR fan. I've always been a big RPG fan.Combined you have pure awesomeness. Most LotR games have been O.K. but this looks the best of them all. Great graphics, online multi-player gameplay, RPG fighting style, and of course, it's LotR!

I Absolutely love LOTRs games.
This could be the one. I am a die hard fan of Lord of the Rings so I've been looking up videos and webpages on this for a while. It looks like it could be the best edition to the renowned Lord of the Rings legacy yet. It's the way i think they should all be, RPG. Most LOTR games have been movie based or like "LOTR The Third Age" the combat is not very good. But, I have a feeling that this game will leave no LOTR fans dissapointed.
