Uncharted: Golden Abyss
Possibly The Best Of 2012.....
I have just received my PS Vita in the mail Sunday and popped this game in a flash. When the game began it did start off typically slow (as usual) but began rise in climax with jumping ,shooting ,climbing, and what ever heck comes Nathan Drakes unlucky way.The story became deeper and richer to the point where the PS Vita was impossible to put down. Striving to the end was no easy task the game was easlily a 12-15 hour game. With 23 chapters. The Lack of multiplayer is not as bad as it sounds. I mean sure it would have been a treat but the campainge its self was enough for me to experience enough of unfourtunent events for a while. As the day ends this game is truelly the game for Uncharted fans who want to taste the story lines juicy climax and the PS Vita's amazing dual analog sticks and touch mobility. Honestly a complete 10/10.
Game is great just to short
Beat in 3 days. No Lie, although i was attached to it but not 24/7 attached like 4 hours of gameplay each day
I played all of the Uncharted games for the playstation 3 and they were and when I began to play this game I was astonished at how good it looked,I had a psp and the graphics were okay, but this one was incredible especially considering the fact that it's a handheld game,I played through the whole thing, great story, pretty lengthy, and the extra stuff where you use your fingers for puzzles and such is pretty cool, and when your climbing and you can use touch also is cool, but not the biggest fan of using it cause it does not feel so authentic.GREAT GAME definitely recommend it
Excellent Addition to the Uncharted Franchise!
Golden Abyss is probably the best Vita game Ive played to date! I'm a big fan of the Uncharted series, and vita's incarnation doesn't disappoint. The storytelling, graphics, voice work, and soundtrack are what you've come to expect and love from the franchise. But what really intrigued me was Naughty Dog's innovative use of the Vita touch screens and controls! It really made Golden Abyss a unique Uncharted experience that shouldn't be passed up.
Good game, although some new features are annoying
The story is great, with several new characters introduced, and it will keep you playing for hours. At first, I thought the game will be a sequel to Uncharted 3, but it turns out to be a prequel to Drake's Fortune. Some of the new features that aren't very good are the mysteries, in which you have to make puzzles, take photos, and find treasures to complete a mystery. The story isn't as long as past Uncharted games, but if you don't play a lot on the Vita, it will probably take you a month to finish it. Also, there is no multiplayer, so don't keep your hopes up for that. Overall, the game is very good, but the only reason you would replay it is to get trophies or complete mysteries.
Best vita launch title
Uncharted Golden Abyss was Sony's first attempt at a console quality vita game, did they deliver? Yes. GA is a prequel to the first Uncharted, Drake's Fortune. The story wasn't as gripping as any of the 3 console games, but it was still great and it successfully made me hate one of the characters. The graphics are in amazing HD and if you show gameplay to someone who didn't know what it was for, odds are they will say PS3. The gameplay is also like the console while it uses the vita's new features perfectly. Whether you are chopping bamboo or making charcoal rubbings, you will love the way this game uses the vita. The game also sounds amazing with superb voice acting by every single character which is rare for any game. Sadly, there is no multi-player, but you can go back into the story and find the treasures you missed, even though i wasnt compelled to do so.
-Amazing HD graphics
-Superb voice acting
-Great use of Vita's features
-Bonus collectibles in story
-Not the best replay value
This game is great. Uncharted has a great story line, great voice acting, and amazing graphics. Golden abyss is no different. The only complaints are the touch only parts which at first are nice but annoying at the end because of their tedious nature. Also there is no online mode so after you finish the game it's like trash. The story is about 9-10 hours. My advice is to rent the game and you can beat it in a week. Still a great game
This game is absolutely AMAZING! For a game that's on a portable system the graphics can actually compete with the graphics on a large console the gameplay is really smooth. My only complaint is NPC's sometimes get in the way while you're shooting but that"s nothing major. I would recommend this game to anybody who enjoys action third person shooters
Could have been better
The game as a whole is great, my major issue is the fact that they force many useless things upon the game that just adds in awful things. Such as the add in a buch of touch controls that does not always work, and takes you completely out of the game! Also they add in awful motion controls and these things really ruin the gameplay. What was a good game was hindered by awful add ins. could have been so much better!
Sony brought the fantastic experience of uncharted from the ps3 to the vita, and it once again is amazing! Please make more uncharted for vita!
