BA DA BA BA BA I'M LOVIN' IT!!
Yes, I love this item. You need to get it if you have a PS2. I have one thing to say though, 8MB isn't a lot. 8MB is good for about 20 games. When you get it used it has one thing on it which is "Your System Configuration" and it automatically puts that on the card when you put in a completely new card onto your PS2. So getting it used is like getting the same thing for a lot less. GET THIS ITEM!!!!!

It's great, pure and simple.
The memory card has worked like a charm over the years, as do my other PS2 gear. It was an ingenious, and innovative creation by PlayStation, to help gamers save progress on all of their games. It works perfectly.

Over priced
I did not buy this memory card yet because I've only been comparing prices. But from what i found i searched you can get a 64mb memory card for less than $10

Always Buy Sony (Authentic) Memory Cards
Other companies have larger cards, but they are not as safe as the Sony card. Fake Sony 8MB PS2 cards can be found for much less than the over priced legit Sony-made versions. However, saved game corruptions are significant, and build quality is very poor. I bought one Sony-made 8MB memory through a 3rd party, presuming it was a real Sony-made item. Yes, it was 1/4 the price of the real thing, but some games didn't even recognize it or simply gave corrupted saves 100% of the time (such as MGS3 Subsistence), while others didn't seem to care (such as MGS2 Substance).
The card rattled, too, due to a loose board inside the case. It didn't fit smoothly into the PS2's memory slot, either. Spelling errors on the back was my first indication it was fake, but comparing it to a known legit Sony card, it was quite obvious.
You can't go wrong with buying a Sony (Authentic) memory card.

really makes you think
Back then this memory card could hold all of your games' memory, but now games take up so much space that if this were for the ps3 it would not hold one game. I am looking at the back of a ps3 game and it says it needs at least 3344mb; wow that is a huge difference.

You're going to need this
With the wide variety of games on the Playstation2,your going to need a reliable memory card to hold all that data. And Sony delivered.I think the design is clever, the performance is amazing, and the value is totally there. The memory always holds your data,so you'll never lose it.The only way to buy a memory card for the PS2 is to buy the Sony version, not the cheaply made Nyko version of the memory card. You can buy the Sony memory card $20 new or $10 used,so it really doesn't matter which way you buy it.But I would by it brand new.So with all that said, the Sony memory card is the best memory card out there for the PS2.It's a great value, and that's why I gave it a perfect 10 out of 10.You're going to need this.Trust me

good
while you may want to get a lot of these, this memory card can hold plenty of game data and has decent load times. and I really mean get a few of these if you buy lots of games

It's what its meant to be
I've owned four of these and not a single one has wiped out on me, i definitely recommend it to anyone that treasures their game progress. It's very well worth its price but Sony should have made a better design or at least different colors. It can transfer data from to or from anothere Sony memory card very quickly.
