Wacky, yet fun.
Dokapon Kingdom is a very fun game to play. Although you can play it single player, recommend you play it with friends because the gameplay improves in my opinion. The good thing about this game is you can play multiplayer on only one controller. Even if you do play it by yourself the game is still very fun.

1000x better then mario party!
takes classic rpg elements, combines it with chibi graphics and a game board, whats not to love!lots of people thinks its cheesy, but this game is really worth a play, great for parties, and just sitting around having fun, you can even back stab your friends!;3 has a battle system, chance encounter system, market, and even a little story line! its a really well balanced game.

Possible glitch?
pros: simple, yet innovated and fun
cons: random mechanic fail
I only play this game if it was free.
Okay so while playing this game I notice that if you get a roll, monster, or w/e that is randomize in this game that you don't like. Then turn off the system reload the save data. Do it again and your results will be the same. This gets extremely annoying! Also, all the coms you are going against will get the same roll and same sequence of events will happen. That just kills the game for me. The random mechanics in the game are screwed. It is like playing a game of cards and you or your opponent get the same hand every time. No matter how many times you restart from a specific point. If your a perfectionist, let alone a person with bad luck. Don't even bother picking up the game!

Fun with friends...to a point.
This game is cute, and actually has engaging mechanics...to some degree. It fails by having too strong a catch-up mechanic--something that can be annoying if in first place, to suddenly lose a great deal to an inferior player and be firmly behind...but becomes intolerable in the single player mode, where any degree of skill only ensures you will lose ground. If you can ensure you have other people to play this with, I can consider this an alright game to pick up now and then. If you want to try it in single player mode...stay far away. It's no good for that.

Contender for "most fun" in my collection
I can't say enough about this game. The designers at Atlus really did a great job in making this one of the most fun, creative, and entertaining game experiences I've had in long, long time. One thing I worried about at first was game balance, because the computer AI, even on the lowest setting, was still destroying me. But Atlus made sure to balance that: if you're last place, you can go to a spot on the map and acquire "dark powers." Let me assure you that you become so powerful that, after the 14 turns allotted for these powers, you will have repopulated most of the enemy towns with monsters, stolen the other players stuff, killed the other players easily in battle, forced the other players to fight you, claimed their towns for your own, locked them down from using their items, etc. Once the dark-powers period ends, they will have been brought within reach again. No player will ever be able to fall too far behind because of this. Playing this with other people makes it even more hilarious and fun, because you can do all kinds of things to mess up their plans or humiliate them, including things like using a disguise to look like them, then robbing a store so they get blamed, give them a foot sore so they can only move one space until cured, give them a bad haircut after defeating them in battle, and even rename their character something funny or draw on their face. Your character levels up as you play, you assign stat points and choose abilities, purchase and sell all kinds of weapons, armor, creative items, and spells, and can change classes (jobs) as often as you like. Plus, there are countless unexpected random events throughout the game--get kidnapped by a UFO and brought back with either better or worse stat scores, meet a thief who will rob another player for you for a price, be forced to play rock-paper-scissors with a kid or lose some of your money to him, I can't even begin to list them all. This is a fantastic game with endless replayability, and will definitely rank as one of my all-time favorite PS2 games! Thanks Atlus, keep making more like this one!

looks pretty good
Looks like it will be fun. I don't like the anime look though. I just hope it's not a let down. They need to make the rpg part pretty extensive to make the game good. Looks like I'll be playing games with my cousins a ton more.
