Great game.
If your a casual gamer looking for a fun, entertaining game to pass the time, then Tony Hawk's Project 8 is the game for you. As you begin the game, you take on the role of an amateur skater looking to rise above the ranks of over 200 talented skaters, and join Tony Hawk's new elite skating group, Project 8. As you start the game, you'll meet a variety of characters, who will give you tips on what you need to do to not only rise in the Project 8 rankings, but also how to master tough tricks, grinds, and other things. How to complete gaps, manuals, and things like that. Your phone an be used to be given more tips, and even on the latest news with other pro skaters like Paul Rodriguez and Daewan Song, who you will meet as the game progresses. Of course, in order to meet those two skaters, and other people, such as Jason Lee, you will have to unlock the Downtown map. To do that, you have to tap a security button on top of the gate that leads into the city. That is one of the more difficult objectives to complete in this game. Whenever you complete special gaps, you unlock them, and earn a key. In the Downtown map, you can do awesome tricks in front of the locals to earn Stokens, which can be used in the Skate Shop to purchase accessories, and upgrades for your skater. You can get brand names and companies to sponsor you in your journey through this virtual world. The compass in this game shows you where to go next, and helps you find new Goals, and objectives to complete. You can also complete Classic Goals, taken from past Tony Hawk video games. There are tons of awesome tricks to nail in this game, such as sticker slaps, and pop shove-its, all of which are relatively easy, and can be done, quite literally, at the push of a button. Or many buttons, for that regard. This is a really good game, one of the most realistic games I've played. It's like your really inside the world of an amateur skater trying to prove himself, and become the best at what he does. I strongly recommend this game. It's one of the best of its kind.

Not The Same
So the tony hawk series has evolved over the years and this one was a let down. This one feels different, in a bad way, from the older ones and the missions don't have the same crude since of humor behind them. I would recommend tony hawks underground, or underground 2. As well as tony hawks pro skater 4.

Cool game!
I've been hooked on the game for about 4 days straight, I've almost beat it already, though. The challenges are all pretty similiar to the other Tony Hawk games. It is fun, but can be very frustrating at times, and way to easy at others. I really like using Stevie Williams, Nyjah Huston, and Ryan Sheckler in the game. In career you start at rank like 200, or somewhere near that. I am now Rank 10, and each challenge raises your rank one or two. So it takes a while, unless you play it 3+ hours a day like I have been. Some of the game modes I loved from the other TH games are not on two player, such as King of the Hill. Overall great game, i'd recomend it to all skaters, and even gamers that don't like skating, you'll still enjoy this game.
