This game is perfect for: hardcore gamers

This game is so much fun I forgot it was animated (not really). This is my new favorite FPS game ever! It is also realistic probably more realistic than battlefield. If you jump over a crate you won't actually jump on it you will slide over it which is pretty realistic. It is also more of a teamwork game you have to stay together if you want to survive unless your selfish and like taking kills all by yourself.

This game is perfect for: hardcore gamers

My local game store (GameSurge) had so many copy's of this game that they had to drop the price from 12 dollars to 8 dollars. And i wondered why the price was so low. Really, it was a great game. The campaign had a great story, and i like how you can choose a side for the good and bad. Right now im playing as the Resistance which are the people who are trapped at the Ark and they try to escape it. This game is shorter than you would expect. Im already half way through the game but the lasting appeal isn't great but one thing you should know that there is A LOT of going on when your playing. I dont want to give to much away but the number one rule in Brink is TO MOVE MORE THAN YOU SHOOT.

7.5 Brink's Smart capability is cool but it seems they worked more on movement than shooting. When a guy falls he falls like he got hit by a truck. the blood is so unrealistic. The guns are cool, so is the equipment. Once you finish the campaign, your done. Online is just those missions with people instead of bots. AND no one plays online. Character customization is great though.

This game is perfect for: casual gamers

I will explain both con and pro parts. I'll start positive. The game is fun. its like Mirrors Edge meets a typical shooters team deathmatch game (mostly objective game methods with classes) Its fun. The lasting appeal is great. The customization is unbelievable. This is what shooter games should have. Everything is custom. The pistols, shotguns, assault rifles, the characters, etc. Now, there is no "specific" plot. You will not know who these people are but its basically a rebel verses SWAT thing. Russians verses Americans. Whatever you want to call it. The ability to climb things is a lot of fun. Its fast past too so basically it can be for both casual (when playing bots mostly) and hardcore (for competition). The game is long lasting appeal and gameplay. There is no ending (no story remember?). I think its worth a play. Now for cons. The problem is graphics. You know games like Borderlands or games that have to "load the graphics". Well its not the "longest" I have ever seen when loading but this game. Its hard to give "detail" to the graphics. Its a strike on my book. For example, look at a banner in a game and it "fixes it" with clearer words of "Victory" on it. Suppose it took 3 minutes for that to load and then when you looked around then looked it again, it has to load. Its a distraction at times. Sound is basically a bunch of BB gun firing. Very unrealistic. But I'll let it slide cause the characters aren't "realistic" either. XD The minor thing is grenades. Grenades give s smoke poof when exploding. Not a high exploding radius. Like a firecracker. All in all, the game is fun but has its flaws. Graphics usually. Everything is acceptable and still fun. I recommend it. I wouldn't listen to those "online" reviews like IGN. They just dist it. Its not the worse in my book.

I don't understand the hate towards this game. Once you unlock the weapon/character customizations and gain a few new skills this game really starts to shine. Sounds are good, graphics are good, and if you get some good team mates that know what they are doing, the on line play is fun. I wish more people would give this game a better chance.

Ok I never owned this game but my brother did which epically stinks for me because this game is so fun. I started to play this game a little when my brother wasn't around and man this game was really fun. I love the gameplay with the multiple guns you can choose from and the characters and storyline. It's very cool how you can choose which side you want to be on, so you can protect the ark or destroy it. Anyway, the sound is great, the guns sound swell when shooting and the voices of characters are loud and clear. The graphics are pretty good being around in the 8 range. I mean the characters are a little glitchy but the guns are great. The down side of the graphics is that whenever you throw a grenade the explosion isn't as big as a normal explosion so it sort of is unrealistic. This game is online only so if you don't have Internet connection then you have to return the game so you can't enjoy it. This game is lots of fun especially when you're playing a level and you don't have to wait for a game to join. This game is full of adventure and shooting so it's great for hardcore gamers.

Brink is a great game and it does what it set out to do, create a competitive team game. This is not COD were you can just run around and go lonewolf. If you want a game that focuses on teamwork and objectives instead of individual K/D ratios then this is for you. However the community is dying down and you will need to look on the forums to find players to play with. If not you will be playing with BOTS which is good but not great like the online portion is. However the fact that the game has BOTS helps to give the game replay value when no one is online.

ok this game has been shot down pretty hard but its not as bad as everyone is making it out to be. If you dont go into it with godlike standards this game comes out to be a fun, fast paste, shooter that has some very fun customization.I spent about 2 hours just playing with my weapon looks and character outfits, the customization helps to add a feeling of accomplishment to the game, for the further you go the more cool outfit and gun options you unlock. For the used price of $12.99 this game is amazingly cheap, and for anyone wanting a game to help fill time before the next big hit comes out this is an amazing option. Using trade in's and for members the points to get rewards its easy to get this game for basically free.
