Cabela's Dangerous Hunts 11
Move Shooter for the Family! Lots of fun for all!
So I noticed finding a Move Shooter for the family is quite tough. Killzone 3, Resistance 3, Socom 4, Time Crisis: Razing Storm, Dead Space: Extraction (Included in Dead Space 2 Collectors Edition), Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition, The Shoot, and MAG are the only ones I could find other than Cabela's Dangerous Hunts 2011. So if you look at the list of shooter games; Cabela's is the only one where you don't shoot humans! My six year old has wanted to use the PS3 Move Sharp Shooter Gun Controller I got for Killzone 3, but since him mom (my wife) is a better parent than me she told us both we can't let him play shooting games where people die... So I found this game, and let me tell you something, it's amazing! I was having a blast is moments! If you try to play this game without the Move I think you will be disappointed, but if you have a Move controller, and hopefully a gun attachment, you're in for a good time! Graphics are nice and quite detailed (1080p HDMI support helps). Sounds are crisp and fluid, most sounds are pretty realistic. The move controls are what I rated Gameplay on, not the regular PS3 controller style. The story mode and the shooting Gallery (Arcade style shooter) will keep you entertained for many hours. Pick it up today and have a great time with the family!
hey i got this game and its pretty awesome the graphics are amazing like the snow on it looks like real snow
I got this game just to try it for myself even though the reviews were already bad. What made me say NO was the graphics! They seem like it was made in like 2000! If you want a GREAT hunting game get big game hunter 2010
okay game like always!
it was okay like a lot of cabela`s games but it is not better then cabela`s dangerous hunts 2 that was my fav on the old game cosoles to!!! i would still by it but it is now better than a fair game
A disapointment to the series
This game was truely a let down. The others were great and created a challenging game. This one was made out to be better than those and then some, however, it was the worst of them all. It was far too easy for one. We bought it and beat it within 2 hours. The wolves were actually the hardest animals in the whole game. The story line was decent but kind of lame toward the end and it was not a big challenge. Unlike the second one, the crocodiles didn't even come after you. They would jump at you and just sit there for you to kill. We took it back to get a better game. I would not recommend getting this game because it should be better for the price you pay.
This game series is forever ruined
I set my expectations too high apparently. When i first caught sight of this game i thought to myself, "Wow! They're making another one. I loved the previous one on the Wii. Though now i have a PS3. I think since the previous game did not suck on the Wii, this newer and more refined game should surpass it's predecessor especially since it's on the newest console on the market." Biggest mistake ever! I get home and pop it into my PS3. My suspicions began when i got to the title screen and was presented with 3 large button options: 1. Galleries 2. Story Mode (don't be fooled just because the development team labels it as a story it's really not) 3. Options. I first went into options to see the control set up and to check if i could alter the controls in a way i would prefere. (Note: I hate FPS games on the PS3 that use R2 and L2 as the aim and shoot buttons) The options were very limited; the only option that affected gameplay was the directional sensitivity which is in any FPS. After that i proceeded to go to story mode. (Note: again no story) You start out as 18 year old Cole whose father is taking him out for his cliche Manhood graduation type thing. The first thing, like in every game, you get a brief run down of how to aim and fire a gun. It all goes down hill from here. The level paths are linear. Anytime you would get lost the next gate or tree branch would blink a weird orange color. The weapons are as generic as the come. If you don't have/use the PS Move controls the game still makes you do similar gestures using your joystick. The quick time events offer little or no bonuses other than letting you live another ten seconds. The graphics were worse than the Wii's. The Hunter Vision fails to directly point out the threats and traps, such as mountain lions or another hunters giant bear traps, until they are a foot in front of you and have already maimed you. The biggest thing i missed from the previous game was adrenaline. In the previous game when an animal would attack you, you would get this weird little bar. If you choose to use the adrenaline you would be given a speed boost and after second or two you would see faint red rings emitting from then animals chest letting on that you could hear their heart beat. The maps were also HUGE. None of the linear junk that should be forbidden from any PS3 game. Instead of spend $40 on this game just buy to $20 PSN points cards and down load just about what ever pops up on screen first and i can guarantee it will be twice as fun as this piece of junk game ever will be. This game basically when up to its predecessor's grave with flowers, but instead it decides to take a leak on the grave. RIP: Dangerous Hunts 2009.
