Dragon Ball: Raging Blast 2
Words can't describe how awesome this game is.
I love this game to death. I mean it has a similar fighting engine to the budokai games but it's a fantastic game on it's own. The character roster and moves are off the charts
I had this game for 1 year and im still playing it and one day my friend came over and he played the game so he said i need this game bad its so additive.
Do not buy
Do not buy for the PS3, I repeat do not buy for the PS3. This game may seem good, have incredible graphics and good sound but you cannot play it without it freezing. The worst part is Namco can't release patches to fix the game. So unless you want to throw your money down the drain and buy a game you won't be able to play do not buy! In Fact this should be taken off the shelfs at Gamestop if it has this problem.
GET THIS GAME!!!!
one of my favorite dbz games of all time. graphics are good, gameplay is good, I would highly recommend this to anyone who has any interest in dbz at all.....just get the game.....just do it will be fun...
Dragon Ball Raging Blast 2
I'd have to say that DB RB1 was a good game a little mistakes. But that's not the point DB RB 2 made it better if you're getting DB RB 2 the soundtrack is now BT2.Better graphics than the 1st one.And some new characters like Ultimate Gohan. So it was AWESOME AND AMAZING!!!!!
Overall Fun Experience
This game accomplishes what it set out to do- to become a good, solid Dragon Ball Z game with tons of characters, and fun gameplay. The mechanics are highly similar to the first Raging Blast game, if you've played it before, with a few overall improvements. It's fun both while playing solo, and while playing with a friend- be warned, on open multi-player, however: some of the people you meet on there tend to cheat. Regardless, the game is a blast (no pun intended), and I enjoy it as much as I do the HD Budokai series. Granted, the game itself is different from the Budokai games, but that's fairly obvious. There isn't really any definitive "story mode" to this game, replaced instead with "Galaxy Mode," with every character having their own Galaxy Mode to go through. Galaxy Mode be summed up as being the major fights seen in the anime with the character that you're playing as ,along with several "what-if" battles. Once you get used to the gameplay though, the actual AI itself doesn't offer a heavy challenge; it almost feels like the Very Hard mode should be a Tough Normal mode, or something of the likes- and, for clarification, I'm not very good at fighting games in general. I usually play on the hard difficulty of Budokai 3, and that is moderately challenging to me, without being to strenuous. If you're looking for grueling, hardcore, lengthy fights that make your momma wanna cry... Then this game isn't the challenge you're looking for. But, if you're looking for a fun to play DBZ with a good character selection, good graphics that remain true to the series, and a fighting system that fairly captures what a real DBZ fight is like- then this game is DEFINITELY a must buy.
One of The Best DBZ Game of All Time!
Me and my brother just couldn't stop playing this! Whenever we finished a match we always had another random match-up and sometimes they made sense. Like once I had one between Cooler and Frieza and it made sense cause we never really saw these 2 brothers fight. So we had a Raging Blast! There was one thing I don't get about people, they say "I don't like this game because instead of Story Mode they have Galaxy Mode!" WELL DUH! The creators were recommended to try something different because people thought the Story Mode was getting a little boring. Even though it is a little weird because of random match-ups, I REALLY like Galaxy Mode. If you like a game that's random or you want to share with other people (Multiplayer gaming with your family) this is definitely the game for you! Especially the HUGE character mass (I believe it's over 100 characters!)
Other reviews are more detailed than mine but my rating was due to the fact that I have always been a DBZ fan. It definitely has an increased amount of character selection than the first raging blast and I enjoy the graphics on the DBZ characters. I gave it a nine because it really needs more characters of DBGT. Especially like Goku SS4
Can Get Boring, Missing Story Mode
Dragon Ball Z Raging Blast 2 is an okay game. The gameplay can get a bit boring, but the controls are good. The one thing missing from this game: STORY MODE!!! This game is missing that. They instead replaced it with Galaxy Mode. In that mode, you basically complete certain matches with certain characters to unlock more characters. It's not too hard. There's also tournament mode. You can customize the tournament and then choose a character to play through the tournament with. Lastly, I want to say that there is a decent amount of characters in the game. So, all in all, it's not a bad game, but could get boring, so I would pick up Raging Blast 1(Which has Story Mode).
The Best DBZ game so far
This game is so fun because of the many things you can do. It has Galaxy mode, which you play missions for like over 90 characters. Also you can play the Battle Zones after you finish Galaxy mode, which is very long and fun especially when you have to fight at near death. You also have so many characters and also movie villains, too! I would recommend this game to anyone who likes to play DBZ games just for the fighting, and not for the DBZ story because the game has no story mode. But since this game has Galaxy mode, the Battle Zones, and so many characters, it definitely makes up for that.
