This game is perfect for: hardcore gamers

I bought this game for coop play with my wife and I was not disappointed. We thoroughly enjoyed Borderlands and have been searching for something to replace that void. Finally, we found a great coop experience in Lord of the Rings: War in the North. First of all, I will say there are many similarities to Borderlands. You level up and then assign attribute points (strength, dexterity, etc) and then assign a skill point to a skill tree (a la Borderlands). Throughout the game you collect a lot of weapons/items and similar to the vending machines in Borderlands, there are portals where you can sell/buy items. This is great as your inventory can fill quickly. You can find incredible weapons and make them unique (like Borderlands) with certain magical stones, which is really cool.

Let me get started with this is an amazing game! I am pretty sure that they fixed the glitch because of how far got. Another great thing which most games like this don't have is that it is a multiplayer game so you can play with our friends! This game is honestly a great game. I love the playthrough (storyline is eh...) and overall enjoyed the game thoroughly. Here's why I gave this game a 1. The glitches are enormous in this game. Usually, you may find one to two minor glitches (a few major ones) in an average game. This game has more glitches than I have ever faced in my life. There are two MAJOR glitches that are luck if you don't hit them. There is the Mirkwood glitch and the Nordinbad glitch. On the war in the north website, there is no talk of fixing these glitches and snowblind seems to not even talk about it. Other glitches are no sound in the menu glitch that is easily fixed by turning the game off and back on, the loud chain sound glitch that I have hit 5 times and need to turn the sound down on my tv almost all the way due to the noise it makes, a no sound at all glitch unless you restart your game that I have heard of from a few forums, and the death over and over glitch that I hit once in Nordinbad where I had to delete the newest patch, win the battle and then load the patch again. It becomes exhausting and very frustrating. I honestly love this game but with no talk of another patch in the near future, and none since around December, I do not recommend this game. Please Snowblind, you robbed thousands of people. Make a game that is not broken.

this is a great game except for the glitch everyone else is talking about well heres what i did i got to the same spot of the glitch so i started over with a different character this time i made it through only on 6-1 there is yet another glitch so as of right now taking game back tomorrow and trading it on maybe on dragon age

this was becoming one of my favorite games i played co-op with my friends good game to get in too with friends. It has very good battles. good boss fights i look for them in a game. but when i got to the part in mirkwood 5-4 it was a game haulting glitch after defeating the boss it does not let you go any farther in the game. I downlowed the update and still nothing. I replayed it over but still got stuck in the same place. If this is not fixed soon there will be all of disapointed fans of the lord of the rings. Its a wonderful game if the bugs were fixed. I would recomend it to a friend if this did not happen one of the better games i have played. This glitch is about 3 hours into the game.

This game is perfect for: casual gamers

This is one of the only LotR games i would ever recommend to casual gamers or even hard core. Reminded me alot of Dragon Age. Great mesh of action/rpg. Cool graphics and game play. I however only could score it a 9 due to the somewhat poor henchmen customization. Your own toon is great, but your party you have little or no control over. I'd like to see more in the future as well as more indepth control of all party members. Overall, you will enjoy this game thoroughly.
