SOCOM 4: U.S. Navy Seals
Great Military Realism for SpecOps
I am by no means a gaming expert, but I spent 30 years in the US Navy and the accuracy of details into weapons, effects and overall operational realism is outstanding. Many of the ops are incredibly difficult at advanced levels but merely lend credence to the "fog of war" military operations sustain.Great game !
Good campaign, multiplayer is alright.
A warning to all... if you haven't heard yet, Sony will shut down the servers for this game officially on 1/28/14. That means that the multiplayer function will not exist after that date. But the good news is that the single player is good and challenging.
Not worth the money if you buy it new....
Very unrealistic missions. You can, somehow, be laying 3 feet in front of someone and they wont see you, but other times will see you in the dark when you're hiding in a bush. Missions are long and drawn out and there are too many SOLO missions. I thought SEALs were about teamwork.........
keeps on freezing
I do not recommend buying pre-owned games from gamestop. Most of the games I get freeze and I can usually stop them from freezing but this one keeps on freezing.DONT BUY GAMES FROM GAME STOP!!!!
SOCOM 4 is here on PS3 , A saga then was famous on PS2 comes here with a real game on PS3 (Confrontation was very Ok) , but SOCOM 4 is one of those games then only reminds me how franchises forget everything and try to copy new styles , and its because this game is basiclly a Call Of Duty in third person , which could be goog but SOCOM systematic was the tactical action and thats what makes the franchise famous on PS2 , the campaing give to us around 8 or 10 hours of action gameplay with stealth missions and also you can create your own missions with the map , enemies , difficult and more and play it online with your friends , the online on this game is pretty Ok but for me was nothing really new , becuase like i said , this game is CoD in 3rd person , but i spend some hours playing it and it was just good but not more , SOCOM 4 is really better then Confrontation and , but i really hope Zipper could return to the tactical action and stop using action.
SOCOM 4: U.S. Navy Seals
t isn't among the best games that I own, but I bought it cheap and it was an entertaining play through. Things have changed since the first few SOCOM games, but some good things were added so that it wasn't like play one of the early SOCOM games with a new wrapper
I played SOCOM 3 a lot. So when I got my PS3 I was really looking forward to this.It is just nowhere near as fun to me. Everything feels like it could have used more polish. I tried the online, and found it boring. People constantly try kicking you even if your doing good. The overall package just lacks what it needs to be successful as a top tier game. Good for a rent, not much more.
great game, but
this game is full of overpowerd noob tubes, plus theres not much people that play this online, but still pretty fun to get into, i wouldnt recommend you buy the dlc cuz nobody plays them anymore, just buy the co-op packs
its good,but where is Spector!?
i played the game for only 48 hours but here it goes, the story is kinda good, but i just didnt get that kinda feeling like i always get when i play socom 1-3 of accomplishment, cus to be honest this game is kinda easy unlike its previous games,i mostly run and gun in this game, unlike the other previous games where running and gunning will most likely end up getting you K.O'd.online was kinda good, but i gotten bored,i still say socom 2 is still the best in the series.
Online is simple and fun, it's a nice alternative to COD and BF. The campaign in a little short, but it does offer a challenge and makes you really think about where you position your squads during a battle. The characters are very detailed and make you care about their missions, the maps can be a little bland and feel small, but that didn't hurt the overall feel to the campaign for me. Overall this is a good solid game and for under 20 bucks used it's a great value.
