Soul Calibur IV
Have to be a fan.
If you're a fan of the series, then you'll probably love this game. Graphics are great, and the combat has always been a plus. Additionally, Darth Vader is a complete bad rump, but I wonder how Yoda is on the 360. After you get past the polish, it's essentially the same game it's always been. The finishing moves are pretty cool, but they get old, like any other fighting games finishing moves would. Online mode is where it's a plus for me. Fighting against someone else besides a close relative is always good for any game. That's how you can really test your skills at the game (which a lot of people I've played lack)....lol. Overall its a great game if you are a fan of the series. If not, you might want to rent it first, just to see how you like it
hours of fun!
this game is a lot of fun, love the customization on the character creation. and my girlfriend likes it too, so that's pretty cool.
THIS IS THE BEST SO FAR!
BEST GAME IN THE SERIES. THIS GAME IS ADDICTING WITH AWESOME GAME PLAY! THE ONLINE IS OK FOR A FIGHTING GAME. THIS GAME IS STILL IN MY COLLECTION
This game is so fun. Great gameplay and even new players have a chance to win and will enjoy it. This game has diverse people with unique weapons and fighting styles. This game is really fun. I recomend also Soul Calibur 3 for playstation 2. That game is also really fun.
Not as good as SC3, but not as bad as SC5
Pros = PERFECTION, online mode, replay value
Cons = no chronicles of the sword and tutorial
Worth = buy it brand spanking new, heck get the premium edition
This is definitely a top notch fighter. With perfect graphics, music, character creation, and sound effects. The only thing not worth complaining about is the story because come on, who plays a fighter for the story?! They added a long awaited online mode, but in return it seems like they took away some offline content. I am especially missing the "chronicles of the sword mode." It still has ton of replay value though.
Some moves and characters feel cheap/unbalanced, yet it wouldn't feel that way if we had a decent tutorial mode. Which you don't have. It is not newcomer friendly and makes it harder to compete online because of that. Taking some of the joy away from it. Despite all this, support this game. Buy it brand spanking new or get the premium edition. Even buy the bloatware dlc. At least at this point the series was still going in the right direction even though it slightly fell off.
Sorry.. Not my type of game!
This game is very repetative and gets old very fast. The gameplay is very boring and the controls are very hard. I would not get this game.
really good fighting game
this game is fun. i like how you can create your own fighter, raphael and taki are my favorite characters
A Pretty Good Fighting Game
If you're a fan of SoulCalibur, then you have to get this. This game is perfect for the fighting fan and SC fans. The graphics for this game are mind-blowing, and the gameplay is like your average fighting game, with health and everything. The sound is pretty good, from Ivy screaming loudly to the announcer warming you up for a match (a tale of two Souls collide or something like that). The Story Mode kind of lacks, making the boss battle Algol, which is easy to beat and he has double health. My favorite part of this game is Character Creation. You can create characters and there is a HUGE variety of armor, clothes, pants, etc. Overall, this game is perfect for SC fans, but don't expect too much from the Story.
Greatest hits game
This game is really fun. I like how Star Wars characters like Yoda are in this game. I think it's cool that Yoda is a downloadable character on Playstation network.
This game is so cool. I played it at my friends house and I decided it was so good I was going to buy it. Then I bought it. It's a good game. Wow, I heard the next Soul Calibur game is coming out soon too. Playstation 3 has great games for their system.
