Simplicity itself
Aside from "The Mummy's Tomb" this is pretty much the only Sherlock game I've had the chance to play. I've been waiting for this game since its release and it did not disappoint me. (Some may or may not disagree but I'm easy to please). Pros: Great graphics, great voice acting, great story, great game play. You feel as though you're playing a Sherlock Holmes story. Cons: Control lock up. By this I mean when you're running to cut time and you're trying to open a door, the character you're playing will keep running at the door instead of realizing he's at the door and opening it. Also when you open a door there are some moments when your character wont move through the door. You have to back up and re-walk through it. There was a glitch where as I was playing Holmes, he disappeard off screen (it only happened once). There was also a graphics glitch where as the level was loading up, the levels lay out disappeared for a second leaving only the people and the sky. As for the sound even though it was as great as it was, there are moments where when the characters are speaking, the last sound of the last word they say will sometimes repeat itself. Another con is the fact that a good number of the puzzled (at least to me) were too challenging and even vague in terms of how to solve it. Thank goodness for the 6th sense option lol. But with these minor problems aside it is a must have for all of the Holmesians out there who love a good fun mystery.

Extremely overlooked
I have always been a fan of the point and click mystery games. While playing games like CoD, uncharted series are fun and nice graphics. The market is flooded with these type of games. I found Testament of sherlock holmes on a whim while I was at gamestop going through the used game section. I had not read any reviews on this game and decided with the 7 day return policy that gamestop has what do I have to lose. I am glad that I did, This game was better then I expected. Gameplay- the gameplay is what you would expect from any point and click although they do incorperate you changing characters to solve some puzzles. I was impressed with how far point and click have come. Graphics- I was a little let down by the graphics of this game but I think it was more because I have just played heavy rain and uncharted 3 which in my opinion have some of the best graphics right now. I would say the graphics and CGI were mid PS2 quality but they did not hamper the story line. Sound- the sound for this game was probably the biggest down. not because the acting sucked or bad scripting it was because many times through out the game sentences would cut off. and some parts seemed to not flow well. Lasting appeal- I but the lasting appeal kinda high because the game keeps you in your seat till the credits roll. although once you beat it the replay value not the best. over all this game is great for people that are looking for something different from the Shooter genre that the Gaming industry seems to be stuck in.

Excited yet seems less exciting than it should be
From the videos i saw the game does have excellent graphics. However, there does not seem to be much action. For some people who dont know Sherlock Holmes was a master in Bartitsu. If only the creators of this game were smart enough to implement fight scenes along with the excellent crime investigations, would be fantastic. Unfortunately, i doubt this will happen. One day, one day, someone will create that perfect detective game that matches wits, deduction, and kicking butt, blowing things up....a real mystery game.

Hopes are high, expectations are low.
I want this to be a good game. I will preface this short passage with that. I am not going to be pre-ordering it however on the grounds that every single other Sherlock Holmes game to ever come out in the history of gaming has not fully satisfied the burning desire that I have to actually step into a realistic pair of shoes and play as one of the greatest detectives of all time. I felt like I was getting close when I played L.A. Noir, however it got repetitive. I liked the detective bits in Batman Arkham Asylum and Arkham City, but they were too short, too few, and too easy. I would enjoy a slightly slower paced and wonderfully crafted game based on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's wonderful characters, but looking at the past, it is likely that this will be another game that simply falls away and leaves the spot of greatest mystery game untouched. I am once again slightly drawn back from this game because it is from Frogwares, who also made the "Sherlock Holmes vs. Jack the Ripper" travesty. I'm not sure about this, but I hope it is great.

awesome!
I am a Huge Fan of Sherlock on Masterpiece Mystery! (PBS.) The other Sherlock titles are XBOX exclusive. This looks great. There was actuallly an episod where Moriarty did this same thing...steal the crown jewels.
