Awesome game doesn't fall short, or raise the bar.
What can is say, I'm very happy with this game. When it comes to graphics and sound of the fps genre, nothing compares to BATTLEFIELD. The game looks amazing and the guns, environment, and the total war is outstanding. Multiplayer is extremely addicting especially the new 64 player conquest on PS4! Although there has been many problems with this game. When it came out it was full of bugs, crashes, and lag. The game was definitely rushed, leading to many game modes and the campaign being unplayable, as well as stats not showing. At this point most problems have been fixed but there are others not relating to these things. I will start with campaign, the story is very dull much like the one in bf3. Nothing really got my interest and I was disappointed once more. With multiplayer this year DICE played it safe, meaning it feels just like bf3, the new " level-lution" and commander mode are not really game changers, but are a nice addition. A big thing DICE tanked was the failure of including squad invites at the menus screen, basically you can't party up before entering a game IN A GAME THAT IS ABOUT TEAM WORK! This doesn't look likes it's returning as DICE stated they will not bring it back. All in all its a game thats worth buying for next-gen consoles only.
Great but it needs to be patched.
Overall I really like the game. I haven't really played the SP, but the MP is just great. There's only 1 problem: it crashes. I join a game and in about 5-10 minutes, I'm automatically sent back to the home screen saying there was an error. Hopefully, DICE can patch it soon and get rid of the crash issues. Other than that, it's great.
I loved the campaign so much! The story is really good and the ending was good but kind of weird and not complete. While I was playing the campaign I got kicked off 3 to 5 times and had to send a bug report on the PS4. While playing the multiplayer the sound messed up quite a bit but other than that it was really fun! I would get this game for a very destructive campaign.
The game is awesome, the story mode isn't all that great. It's fun, but sometimes it is very repetative with the battle scences and some what predictable. The online is a different story, it's insane, destructive, fun, challenging, the graphics are beautiful, it plays real smooth, and it's fun to fool around in. If your a online person this is your game.
The real deal
It doesn't get any better. The multiplayer play is incredible. The sights and sounds are crisp and realistic especially when you enable war tapes.
BF4 on PS4
Had all BF series games and this is much better than BF3 by far. Dont know what people are complaining about. I am a 100% online gamer. BF2 was great BF3 sucked. BF4 is tops. I was lucky enough to nab a PS4 console and glad i was patient
Very Much Dislike This Game.
I have a lot of problems, I get a lot of errors and lags playing battlefield 4 only. Dice should've NEVER changed the controls which is the dumbest thing that they can do. theres no team chat. Cant squad up in the menu like Battlefield 3.
I played it for 5 mins best 5 mins of my life! The graphics were amazing the gameplay was great and the maps were very fun!
I don't know what everyone else complaining about crashes on the ps4? I play this ever since i got it and i play it on wireless never had it crashed or lagged on me. As i heard yesterday it crashed on the xbox one, so if your worrying about crashes it happens on mostly every system when there is a glitch, even on pc. All i can say is that i'm satisfied with this game on this console, game play, graphics, and even team death match and the controls are really similar to COD. I give it a 10 out of 10!
A Great Addition To The PS4
I enjoy the game and continue to play multiplay daily.
Other negative reviewers are correct; there are issues with the game but they are constantly being patched. I've seen performance improvements weekly since owning the title.
Some of the issues I've experienced have been server crashing, multiplayer sound cutting out, some server "rubber banding," losing the campaign file and the program has crashed the PS4. But as I've said, these issues continue to be worked on; this is a next gen console and a new game, so I'm patient. As of this date, server crashing is minimal and the PS4 rarely crashes (and when it does, the PS4 closes the game and takes you back to the active OS screen).
There are a number of great improvements since BF3. On the PS4, this game looks amazing. The vehicles, soldiers and maps are better balanced - finally, flyers cannot so easily dominate a map. The soldiers kits are improved and their roles make more sense.
If you haven't played Battlefield, this game would make a great addition to your PS4 library. There is more to this than simple run-and-gun; map awareness, team (and squad) cooperation and tactics are very important to winning. A team that doesn't understand the map or apply good tactics for a particular game mode, such as Rush mode, will get hammered by a team that does understand it.
There is so much re-playability in this title, you most likely will continue to enjoy it until the next release.
