Excellent and highly recommended!!
Ok this handheld is great! Let's start... DESIGN: the design is very sleek, thin, light, smooth, and beautiful! very compact, and i just love that little analog stick!! INTERNET: The internet works fairly well on PSP, especially when youdon't want to go all the way to your computer or you're in a portable place. It does have only wifi; so you can only connect at hotspots, but those are everywhere now! Typing in an address uses the familiar phone texting interface; so most teenagers that text will feel right at home, and what's also great is it shows the whole internet, not just a portion. The srolling works well too, although it gets annoying somtimes!! You can use the analog stick to move the cursor freely, or the D-pad to quick zoom to the links. Overall it works pretty well for a handheld. PHOTOS: Not much to say about the photos part. You can transfer them easily, view them easily, have a slideshow, and even play music while viewing. MUSIC: The music funtion works fast, wonderfully smooth and perfectly. It supports all popular file types, like mp3, wma, aac, and such. You can choose from a few different background animation thingies while the song plays too. Not much else to say, music is great. VIDEO: Video supports again, most popular file types, and although you will have to do some converting if you want some files like vids from websites to work, it's not that hard to find converter software. Videos look amazing on its big, bright screen too, by the way. GAMES: There are lots of great games for it, like God of War, Crisis Core, Patapon, Ratchet and Clank, Syphon Filter, Monster Hunter 2 and many more. They have the best graphics I've seen in a handheld, and run quite smoothly too. Plus there are demos to download, and managing game saves works great, too. DOWNLOADS: To download things like music, videos, photos is really easy! Just connect a usb cable, if you have a common digital camera or such device, then you already have one, and then all you have to do is drag and drop the videos, photos, or music to the Music, Video, or Photo folder when you plug it in! If it's a supported file type, it will work perfectly. And PSP supports the most popular ones. The worst you might have to do for some things is download converter software, and you're set. OVERALL: Overall, the PSPis a great handheld. The best in fact. It's a multimedia powerhouse in a sleek, elegant device and it's worth every cent for every feature. I recommend this highly!

Sometimes... new isn't always better.
I've had a PSP Core for about 2 years and it has gone through a lot of drops and beatings and is still running like i just bought it. On the other hand my brother has a PSP 3000 and he has had his about the same amount of time as me and his has scratch after scratch, the games don't load right on his PSP, his speakers were blown after 2 songs when the volume wasn't even very loud, his PSP crashed itself ( kinda like how a computer crashes ), and now his PSP will turn itself on and off. MY PSP on the other hand, runs games smooth and fast, my speakers on the PSP aren't blown even after playing an entire Avenged Sevenfold album on full blast, and my PSP still looks brand new. So i DO NOT recommend a PSP 3000, I recommend a PSP Core, it's durable, fast, and good looking. The Core is really worth the money.

Another great sony product
The PSP Is probably the greatest portable game system ever made, it is capable of many things the DS series could only dream of, Skype, Digital comics, and many other things, you can watch movies, view your pictures, listen to your own music or browse different radio channels, and browse the internet! not to mention you have access to the playstation store, so you can download demos, add-ons music, themes and more, the PSP is a GREAT buy.

PSP>DS
I've had both for about 2 years now, but there was no contest when I had to trade in one of them. The PSP's graphics can make a grown man cry. Bad graphics? That's the DS you're talking about. And, media in general. I have 200+ songs and counting, and I bring my PSP everywhere. Plus, it's long lasting. The only thing I dislike about it is the joystick, which I've already replaced twice. Besides that, the PSP is a more practical system. It's something you see everywhere, people riding on the bus, walking down the street, It's more easier to use a PSP and walk, especially if you're using it as an iPod. It may be hard to carry around, but still, the audio is amazing. There's just so much to do. If you're trying to not be bored, get this system. My DS was pretty boring, and it broke in 1 year. Still, all I had to play was knock-off party games and terrible movie games, all with terrible graphics and cheesy gameplay. Between the two handhelds, make no mistake, The PSP is the center of the media universe, if you want a little bit of everything.

Not for clumsy oafs
Another genration of all handheld game systems: The PlayStation Portable. It's the first handheld game system that can adopt to you like a new Madden video game. It has features that other handheld consoles don't. But, if you're a little clumsy like me, the PSP might not function properly, like occasionally, when you start to play any game at all (if yo move it a certain way) the HOME menu starts to pops up which interupt your gameplay, but not all the time. It gets really annoying from time to time, so try not to drop it often (if you're clumsy or not). The PSP got feature that oher handheld console don't ,like... Internet- The PSP is the first handheld console that has internet wifi on it. However, when you go on certain websites, the websites don't display properly (I don't blame some websites for not displaying properly, it's a PSP. That tiny LCD screen can't fit everything at once). It can decect more than one wireless internet connection (like the Wii, PS3 and Nintendo DSi). But PlayStation thought of the idea first. Games- All of the games created for the PSP are pretty fun and awesome. About 60-75% of all and upcoming PSP can adopt to you too, espically racing games. They're more fun on the PSP. (They're are like remake of PS3 games). Online Play- I don't know about online play, but I heard that online play is good for the PSP. Design- The newer PSP version is more sleeker, smooth and you don't have to press a button to just open the UMD slot, just put your finger by the opening of the UMD slot and pull it. Then, it opens! Unlike the classic PSP, it's smaller and you can easily put it in your pocket (like the PSPgo, but a lot smaller than both versions). After all this features included on the PSP, I rate it #1 Best Handheld Console of the Year! And it's not too expensive (if you break it, then it's really expensive. So try to make it last.)

Sony PSP Slim
The PSP is aweome!! You can practically do anything like movies, live tv, camera, photos, videos, connecting to the ps3, internet, skype, AND Playstation Network! I've had a PSP for a while and surley prefer it over my DS and its better then the DS and the upcoming DSi. It has cool graphics that I love about it! It's the best portable game system out there! I mainley us it for gaming but i like to surf the internet with it and i use skype tp talk to people plus i have some music on it to listen too. The PSP is like a mini PS3 or PS2 which is aweome having all of your playstation with you always into to one super packed portable gaming system. I just hope they keep selling the PSP Slim Core packs because those are my favorite ones. But I would definently sdvice someone to get this system.
