top shot sucks
this game works good on a small screen tv so if you don't have one then don't bother buying this game with the top shot elite.

FAIL !!! calibration impossible
Game looks like it would be fun & the commercial is memorable.
I have tried everything & can not calibrate the gun...
My Wii-motes work fine on all my other games & seem to work on a few of the menus in BGH 2012 but when in the gallery or story forget it, I can't get the cross-hairs on the screen & if I do it's very brief.
The cross-hairs jump all over with little to no movement of the Wii-mote, when I can get them on the screen.
I'm returning this one...
FYI, check around the reviews are very mixed on this one but alot of the unhappy ones (like mine) are due to the calibration issues. There's some talk of known problems on large screen TV's. mine are on a 60" LED Samsung. Haven't tried it on smaller TV & won't.

excellent fun Wii version
This is a very good game, but not what I expected from all the hype and what today's tech is capable of. The story line , details and wild game were awesome. I read alot of complaining about calibration, best we could do was 1/2"avg. on a Pioneer 60" Plasma, not so for the 10 yr old tv @ the cabin. They didn't consult any hunting professionals when making this game, for as serious as it was meant to be, they were lazy with the important details. Needs much more firearm options, and what good is it to release the trophy gun after the game is completed. The firearm options they do have are cheesy at best. Really??? an elk buggle that works on moose, whitetail, muley's,pronghorn . Wish you could cover more of the ground instead of the limited trail the arrow keeps pointing you in. We did like very much the vitals being highlighted , the detection mode and stalking thru to the kill. The hidden areas and photo challenges were a great addition. part of my low graphics score was because of the Wii's 480 limitations, in the xbox its a 9.5-10. How about a better "plastic gun". can't use the scope on the topshot as it won't calibrate close enough to use, for us anyways. Overall I'd do it again, as my young hunter loves it and I'm a hard one to please. This is a real good game, I am looking forward to cabela's improving the next one. The golden Caribou is in the last photo challenge on top of the rocky ridge, you can't shoot it , wish the game was longer Thanks

dont pay attention to other reviews this is awful
This game sucks, no free play, story sucks, if you fail it gives you two choices to play again but doesn't matter what you chose both options start the whole game over again, the scope feature/mechanic also suck so much you dont need it meaning you can no scope making the scope utterly useless, if you are playing with the gun attachment it just makes the game harder and tiring on the arms, and last the camera sucks along with the controls.
I strongly recommend Deer Hunter for the PC instead

Hands down best wii game - serouisly
This is hands down the best game for the wii. I've played black ops and other shooting games for wii and there horible. You have to buy shooting games for the xbox or playstation if you want a good shototing game. This is and exception though because the controlls are so easy to use and fun to play. You're probably thinking one of these 2 thoughts: "Dude, $60 bucks? No way!" or "I think i'll just get it for the xbox..." It's was worth the $60-plus it comes with that awesome gun! I'd probably pay $100 for the game. If you have and xbox or playstaion, it's still fun. But if you have a wii, try to get it for that system. The story mode is kinda short though.. Well only because I flied through it in a week because it was so fun. If you're going to get it to try to find the gold buck and enter the contest-DON'T! The contest is over 11/1/11 and it's impossible to find. If you want danger over hunting for a sport get Big Game Hunter 2011 instead. Thanks for reading...
