Wii for adults, FINALLY!!
While there are some games out there for the Wii that have themes geared for an older audience, most of those can be dumbed down in order to be played by children. Don't misunderstand me, I am a father, myself, of a 1 year old boy who will grow up to play video games on this great system, it would be quite a while before I ever had him even see me play this one. Only having recently gotten back into 1st person shooters, I found the initial challenge in this game to be excellent. There is challenge, but you can make it through a level without too much of a huge frustration. I feel the game offers people the opportunity to make it as hard as they want with the 4 difficulty levels. I have found that if you are not used to the controls, or the franchise, pick either of the easiest difficulties and you will be well on your way to mastering them. One of the greatest aspects of this game is the graphics for the Wii. While I only have the RGA cables currently, the graphics are still really good for the Wii and I can't wait to get my Component Video cables for the system. Though I am positive they are less impressive than the XBOX version, I wouldn't know, cause I don' t have it on XBOX. The motion of your character is a little too stable, but it is hard to notice when your sights are on the next corner you are about to turn. There are a good deal of background animations and plenty going on around you to keep you immersed in the storyline. The Wii controls have been known, in certain games, to lag and drag behind what you think you are doing with them, I assure you, this is NOT the case with World At War. I notice immediate and precise control for any maneuver I employ as well as relatively intuitive targeting. Firing is smooth and incredibly responsive and I haven't had any trouble lobbing grenades at foes hiding behind walls like cowards due to lack of real world control. The story takes you through several theaters of WWII starting with the Japanese and Russian fronts. This, one would think, had been done to death and there really wasn't much more anyone could do with it, and you couldn't be more wrong. Following the missions through the theaters gets you feeling like you actually have a larger purpose and drives you to continue the mission even if you die several times in one spot. Though many have complained about the controls being hard to get used to, I have found them incredibly simple and intuitive save for one, changing grenade types to throw. In order to picture this properly, you must understand that I have the Wii Zapper accessory (highly recommend by the way), and I have to shift the whole thing counter-clockwise to switch and throw a smoke grenade, then to rotate back while trying to maintain aim and position on a fool is the only thing I found difficult to get used to. The interface is great and, I feel, adds to the immersive ness of the game. It is very simple, basic map in the top corner, grenades available, ammo available, and that's about it. The great thing about it is that it sort of follows the basic technology at the time. There aren't going to be any elaborate readouts for a WWII based anything, there just wasn't the technology. The basic nature of the interface follows right in line with the nature of the time in which the game is set. Sound is always tough to rate on games, mostly because it is hard to categorize some games on the Wii from a sound perspective. CoD WaW is easy: War Game, First Person Shooter, WWII, it needs decent sound. I have my Wii hooked up through my DVD's equalizer into surround sound. Works great, but I wish they had done a little more with the surround capability. Guns firing in both fore and backgrounds, Grenades exploding, Sergeants yelling at you, enemies yelling at you, footsteps, breathing, tanks, rockets, AA fire, it all sounds incredible and, again, my word of the day, immersive. I usually work until about 11:30pm at my job, I get home about 11:50pm and I know I have a limited

GREAT GAME
I own a 360, and a Wii but this game keeps me comming back, it is a great franchise, and while not a CoD head, i do enjoy a good FPS it keeps me coming back to the Wii day after day, it lasts forever almost, you can never get tired of it, while i personally never played the online portion, the single player is done in an amazing fashion, even beating it on veteran, isnt overly hard but still challenges the best of gamers, its cheap and well worth the $20 to get it, only bad part is there is no zombies, but still even without that, an amazing game

No Zombies, but a great game to pick up!!
While some may argue it is incomplete WaW is a great, easy to play shooter for any gamer and loads of fun. The ability to control the gore and language for online multiplayer also makes it a little more friendly towards the younger, perhaps middle school age gamer! Next to Mario Party 8, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, MadWorld and Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, it is one of the most enjoyable titles on the Wii!

A good oldschool shooting game.
The weapons are all old fashion and that makes it really fun plus the maps are better then mw3 and black ops

modern warfare is best for wii (my opinion)

WWII at its finest!
This has to be my favorite COD game. Okay the Modern Warfares are not bad but the WWII games are better. In this one flip flop between the Pacific front and the European front in the most interactive game yet. Yes kill streaks give you special abilities just like modern warfare. So this is a definite buy.
