Good game
It was a good game. It had better pitching controls than the ones from mlb 2k6 for the gamecube and better baserunning controls from mlb 2k11. I had fun with the game untill mlb 2k11. It was fun to make your own roster.

under rated because of graphics
the graphics on the mlb games for the wii are always not as goodas on other systems because of how hard it is to make a quality sports game for the sensitive wii remote

Pretty good.
This game is one of my favorite MLB 2K games, althoe it is a little hard to hit in this game.

Unbalanced CPU
The graphics are good for the Wii, and the commentating isn't bad, by far better than 2K11. There isn't much of a learning curve though, and when you first get it it's hard to know where to start. It's easy to navigate, though, and -a rare feat among Wii games- the menu looks good. When you play a game though, it's way too easy for the CPU to make jumping/diving/wall jumping catches, and next to impossible for human players to successfully make them. Just about every human HR is robbed by the CPU unless it's hit over an impossible-to-climb wall (like I have to keep doing). And the manual doesn't tell you about anything like the VIP, the only parts not covered in-game. Overall, not a bad game, but could use some serious improvement.

It freezes a lot...
After playing, I look at this game and I see potential. The season modes and features of this game are very cool, and the graphics are awesome. If this game would stop freezing I'd be a happy person. And sometimes a play would happen, then around five seconds later the announcers would be talking about it as if it were happening then and there. But the announcers themselves are great, who could ask for more than Jon Miller and Joe Morgan? Overall, This is a great game, but it can drive you insane, because you can get really far into a game and it'll freeze, and destroy every single thing you did in the game.

Terrible
This is absolutly the worst game I have ever played. This game made me cry. There would be a pop fly and the game would tell you where to go where to go and the at the last second switch causing an error and also would tell you that you got a home run but then they would make some amazing catch like one time they acually stood up on the wall and caught it. Those commercials that say to "Never by a bad game again" and they people are acting crazy and throwing things. Thats what this game made me do. A waste of $20. Made me so mad.

2k is back with another great game!
Ok, so this game's graphics aren't the best! what do you expect it's the wii. pitching is great in this game! The camera angle makes you feel like a real pitcher. Batting is great too. make sure you keep your wii remote by your ear when you're batting because otherwise you'll have experieces of just hitting a lousy grounder. I like the mode in exhibition where you can choose a situation like bottom of the ninth 2 outs, road team has 1 run and the home team has zero. then you can pick the spot you want in the lineup. then it goes straight to a game and you try to score run 1 with the home team to tie it and 2 runs to win it unless you're the road team you would try to hold the home team. I agree sometimes there are some ridiculous wall climbs, but you can still hit many home runs. Another thing i like is that it shows the batter's contact percentage and power percentage so you know if you should try to just hit a line drive over one of the infielders or one up the gap of two outfielders. You should try to swing for the fences if the batter's power is in the nineties. I recommend buying this game!

Not a good game
Firt of all, this game stinks. I first bought it because it looked fun and I was going to get another sports game fo r the Wii. I already had Madden 08 and it was great, so I bought this. There are many reasons why I do not like this game. First of all, the people look like cartoons. The game is very glitchy to. The other team will hit a fly ball into the outfield, and you get under the ball to catch it in the red area that it tells you to stand in so you can catch it, and suddenly the red area will move to the side. One thing that really annoyed me was that when it looked like a home run. The opposite team would suddenly spring of the wall and make amazing catches. You get all happy cause it says your going to get a home run, and then they catch it. This game is very frustrating and I highly recommend that you do not buy it.

Needs improvement!
Well MLB 2K8 needs improvement because the graphics aren't that good and the score box is from like 2K6. They did not put in Minor League teams which really bugged me. It stinks that it doesn't have wi-fi but season and dynasty is pretty good. All star stuff is good but they have too much banners of State Farm and all 2K8 stuff. The pitching mechanics needs some improvement but otherwise it's okay. The game itself is really good for all baseball fans. The only thing that really bugs me is for example I was the Yankees and there was a ground ball to Jeter and he threw the off balance play and when John Miller said it he said, " Molina, throws the off balance play to get him out!" But sadly Molina wasn't playing at all! They really should of put the Classic controller as an option. This game is good so buy it or rent it any option 2K sports did really great.

Great game
I was hesitant to pick this game up because of what I've heard, but I was pleasantly surprised. Now I'll get the bad out of the way first. It's not the best looking game, but for a Wii title it delivers good enough graphics. The gameplay is what makes it the best baseball game. The pitching mechanic is a great addition to make you more involved in the game. The batting has its issues especially the checking mechanic, but it still works. Sound is good but occasionally it skips out or says things that don't belong, but that's rare. Even though there's no online, it still has basically everything the 360 and ps3. Sure it has no playable minor league teams and no trading cards, but I don't find these necessary to play a game of baseball so they don't affect my score by their absence. So to sum it up in two words: Great Game!
