NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams
Nights: Journey of Dreams is one of my personal favorite Wii games ever (Behind SSBB) and I'd honestly recommend this game to any casual gamer.
Controls are very strange, Story is a little on the short side, and some of the missions get extremely repetitive. But all around it is a fun game.
And to those who are confused on Nights gender, Nights is genderless. They only refer to Nights as "He" is because they cannot refer to Nights as an "It".
NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams is absolutely one of my favorite games on the Wii. Not only does it have really pretty environments, but an amazing soundtrack as well. Although the game could be a little longer it gave me something to do for about a week, and later on I found myself coming back to it. It has splendid fully voice acted cut-scenes. The game also has a nice, colorful cast of characters. You can play the game in either Will or Helen's story, which are two children who have terrible nightmares. They then find themselves in the magical world of Nightopia where they find NiGHTS. NiGHTS is like the key for the children to overcome their nightmares... Yeah, it's a little confusing to explain! Although the story it tells does not always make complete sense, I still found it very interesting. For example, why the heck does NiGHTS have to collect keys for cages that have nothing in them? And then there's Reala, one of the main villains. He just traps NiGHTS in cages and then leaves, totally allowing one of the children from the game to save him! Anyways, I gave this game a 9/10, only because it could have been just a little longer... I do have a question though: Why have all these other reviewers given this game 1/10's? It certainly does not deserve that.
Nights: A Sega classic!
This game is a very refreshing experience! There's nothing like it! The graphics are nice and colorful, the voice acting I have to admit isn't bad at all, and the game play and story are a nice new experience. And since you can get it really cheap these days its is worth the price and I think anybody who likes video games should give this game a try.
not an amazing game, but worth the money
This game is very short, which is a down side. But the fun of the gamplay makes it worth the money. It is simpily entertaining. buy it
Why couldn't the dream last longer?
Nights Into Dream is a cult-classic, and most cult classics are good, but the problem with them is since they aren't that big it is unlikely they will get a sequel. Here is one that got a sequel. As long as you don't try the motion controls (they are awful for this game) it is fun. It is short however, like most of Sonic Team's games. I do suggest you buy this so maybe it will convince Sega to release the original on Xbox live arcade, Playstation Network, or WiiU Virtual Console (I can see Saturn games being on it).
Yes, the game is kiddie. No, the voice acting isn't that great. This doesn't change the fact that the game is simply amazing, creative, and, most importantly, FUN! Remember that? Remember when gaming was about fun instead of calling people names over Xbox Live? You get to play as a purple, androgynous (NiGHTS is neither male or female, stop arguing) jester thing where you fly around playing, basically, classic Sonic The Hedgehog but flying. You get a rank at the end and there are four endings, 2 for each kid, so you always have a reason to come back to the game and try to do better. The music is pure happiness. A full orchestra playing some of the most memorable music you will hear in a game. Buy this game. Worth the money.
the game is hard but fun to play because i like hard games and if you hard games then nights is for you
This game wasn't as bad as most people say it is. I had it when it first came out and the it was a nice game to go through at least once. The gameplay wasn't hard at all and it was easy to beat the game. The storyline was enjoyable and classic for a Sega game. The music was good for such a budgeted game as well.
Easily one of the worst games I've ever played. Absolute stupidity the entire way.
A true Sega classic.
The NiGHTS game on the Sega Saturn is a classic Sega game and NiGHTS: JoD is a great sequel to the original. The unique gameplay is easy to master after a just a few levels.
The graphics on the cutscenes are amazing and the backgrounds and character renders are not that bad either, especially for a wii game. The music is outstanding as well. Just listen to the song from the Bellbridge stage.
The story, while a little childish, may not be for everyone, but the gameplay is so great that it shouldn't matter. The final boss battle is epic, though.
The game is cheap, so it is definitely worth it. I still come back to play this game some times even after I beat it.
