Outstanding
This game has improved on all aspects of the 2008 version for Wii. In addition to the motion controls, now PES for Wii includes classic controls, which will make new and old players feel right at home. New players can rest assured of an extensive tutorial system to ease them into the game, while old players will feel right at home now that PES 2009 includes the Master League, which wasn't in the 2008 version. Full editing control is given for the first time on Wii as well. Gameplay is solid as PES has always been, and the robust online system extends play value nearly infinitely. People online can challenge each other to rematches and add each other to 'rivals' lists for future games, making this easily the most dynamic online system any game on Wii has to offer. The addition of the Champions League license brings a real epic feel to the game; with the license comes all the Champions League teams, and a Champions League mode, complete with CL licensed music and graphics. All in all, this is THE soccer game to get on Wii, and without a stretch, with its innovative controls and depth in gameplay, this sits amongst the best sports titles on any console in the past few years. Forget FIFA. PES 2009 on the Wii is the real deal, and after playing it, it's the only deal.

A true football experience...
I cannot wait for Pro Evolution Soccer 2009 to come out. I had 2008 and traded it in thinking that Fifa 09 would be better. Far from it. Pro Evolution Soccer has a fantastic control scheme using the Wii remote and nunchuck. It is the most realistic experience because you can literally draw out plays, sending your players on runs and setting up perfect through balls. This is the only soccer game I know of that will always pass the ball to the player you want it to, instead of passing it to a random player that's not even on the screen. (You know what I'm talking about.) When it comes to the Wii, Pro Evolution Soccer is the way to go.
