Don't be fooled!
I LOVE anime, and games either based off of (Naruto, Bleach) or like anime (Tales of Symphonia, and Arc Rise Fantasia). This game where it is like an anime, I think it would've worked out way better if it was an anime, or if it is is stays an anime. The RPG battles are not to blame in this game, they are fine. It's the whole "choose the right thing to say to someone, to make them happy, and boost their 'stats' in battle thingy that takes up half or more of a chapter's time" junk that gets on my nerves. To me it is a waste of time, and I personally don't reccomend it.

You Love Anime, You'll Love This
Just like the title says, you'll fight in New York and defend it. I don't want to be to informative so in order to get stronger, you need to build up relationships with the girls around you. There are quite a bit of endings so it'll take awhile. This game, you don't need to worry about leveling up. When your not fighting, you can travel around New York and make friends with the girls. At the end of the game, the girl you have the most highest affection will become your ending for the game. Otherwise, this game is a great RPG with a bit of dating sim-like.

Anime Star
You are a newly transfered soilder to the star division in New York. Due to your actions you become captain of the team there. This game will be the closest you can get to staring in your own anime. Your responses unlock different scenarios that are followed by usually funny scenes. You get enteract with your team and depending on which responses you choose will build your relationship with the girls which improves thier stats and joint attacks in battle. Unlike other RPG's there are no levels but you build your friendships with the girls to make them strong. A poor relationship=weaker stats. The combat is a turn based strategy which can be a bit dull at times but incorperates good strategy and graphics with super attacks. The core of the game is your interaction with the team. If you RPG fan of grinding levels and hunting loot this game is not for you but is a good game for casual gamers
