Go on the Ride Instead.
Let me start out this review by saying that I am a huge fan of Toy Story and the movies and games based on the films are huge parts of my childhood! When I went to Disney World a few years ago, I went on the Toy Story Mania ride and...it was freaking awesome 4-D action! So, I was intrigued by the port of the ride (a port of a ride? What next?) released for Wii and...it was not worth $50 (I know it is $20 now, but I bought at release). The mini-games are nothing special and do not have the same epic speed and feeling of the ride and are very bare-bones and easy. The 3D glasses that come packaged are terrible also, so the 3D won't add anything special. When this game is in the bargain bin, I would recommend it for die-hard Toy Story fans and for those who cannot get enough of the ride. Otherwise, this game is not worth your cash.

Worst game ever, don't buy it
This game is nothing, you haft to do so much practice before you can play the real thing, and the games on this are so so boring. This game should be in a garbage can. this game should never have been put on the shelf. Okay all I have to say for this game is that it's the worst game ever. SO DO NOT BUY IT!!!!!!

Toy Story Mania
This is a good game and all but does get old after a while. Good game for kids but older gamers may find this game tedious. Overall still a good game.

Great product and very kid friendly...
The Good: This is a solid product that mimics some of the rides my family was one last year in Disney World. It is very well thought out with controls being easy enough my four year old daughter can play my 6 year old son and sometimes beats him. It only requires the Wii remote and very simple setup. It has a two modes of play with a storyline and a free-play option to build your own series of games. There is a bonus area with prizes you purchase like at arcades with tickets won from your score. This bonus area provides you the opportunity to purchase more mini games, stickers, and pages for your sticker book. You can play four players which does help in story mode. My son loves the different target shooting games and balloon shooting ones as well. The Bad: Nothing really. Its a simple game made for party fun and young kids to enjoy. The Conclusion: This game is a huge hit with my two kids. They play it together and its easy enough for both to understand with pop-up example screens showing graphically what buttons to push and what to look for. There is audio as well to explain what they need to accomplish. The game gives them positive praise with feedback on progress. It also visually shows you what to do on tasks that require shaking the Wii remote. its a keeper...

Fun fun game, but......
This is a really fun game. I think its fun because I've been on the real thing at both disneyland and disney world. I think it might be a bit difficult to enjoy this game if you havent really experienced the excitement of the ride, but it can still be fun regardless. Its comparable to carnival games, in that its basically the toy story characters who set up a carnival in Andy's room. The only difference is instead of using the wii mote to simulate a dart being thrown at a balloon, or a ring being flung on a bottle, its mainly point and shoot, ie shooting galleries. Instead of "throwing" rings, you are shooting rings at aliens. So the game is like 99.9% shooting gallery. For some, that can be a downer, because in carnival games its more "realistic" I guess to actually do the motions you would if you were really at a carnvial. But its way more fun on this game. It gives off a similar thrill to the ride, but doesnt immerse you as much. What's enjoyable is, just like the ride, there are layered targets, which means you hit one thing to open up more hidden targets and events. You could play through each shooting gallery and see something different which helps with the replayability. The game come's with 3d glasses, but the 3d really isnt that great. And when you first start it, it has a reticule on screen to help. I personally dont use it, but think its a good thing for the people who havent been on the ride. There's a certain way you have to hold the wii mote to hit the targets, and the reticule can help. All in all, its a great game, and has a good setup. Its even better if you've been on the ride. The best part of the game are the shooting galleries, the other mini games are kinda boring and pointless, but there are a few that are a little above "ok." Either way, yea, great game to match an even better ride. Oh yea, sometimes it can get a little glitchy and if you play for awhile you're hand will hurt.

Can not wait for this!!!!!!!!
After riding the ride in Disney World many many times, I'm excited that Ill be able to play it(or a version of it) on the wii. The line for the ride is so long, and while it has some pretty throwed special effects, I cant wait to have this game in my house. I think for the people who have been on the ride, this is gonna be a great game. For the people who have never been on the ride, it can still be a great game for them, but maybe not as fun. Either way, I cant wait for this game. More of a reason to not stand in the long lines at the theme park.
