A Very, Very Underrated Game
Don't let these haters fool you- Wii Music is a high quality music game that gamers of all skill levels should try. Just remember- this game is not anything like guitar hero or rock band. Wii Music isn't about high scores and perfection; its about being creative and expressing yourself. It's certainly easy to pick up and play, but I certainly wouldn't say that you just wave your arms like a crazed monkey and beautiful music comes out. This game really does take some amount of skill if you want your songs to sound good. Kids will love just being able to pick up the controller and play basic songs, but there's a surprising amount of depth for more experienced gamers. There are about 100 songs, and each song has (I think) about seven parts (melody, harmony, percussion, etc.). Also there are over 60 different instruments. If that wasn't enough, you can adjust the tempo (from painfully slow to absurdly fast), and the style the song is played (rock, electronic, tango, japanese, and tons more). With that much variety there are litteraly millions of ways to play each song- but that's not even the half of it. The best part of the game is being able to "overdub"- in other words play the melody, then go back and record the drums, then the chord, harmony etc. This allows you to tweak every performance to perfection, but its also sometimes fun just to go crazy and make the songs sound like crap. In wii music you're not tied down to playing each song a specific way. Though you can pull up the sheet music (similar to the notes that run accross the screen in guitar hero) at any time during the song, you are encouraged to improvise- adding little guitar solos, creating your own drum beat, basically anything you want. In addition to Jam mode, there's lessons and three great mini games- my personal favorite being the "Mii Conductor Mode" that lets you conduct an orchestra. If you're a fan of music, or even if you're not, Wii Music is a must own on the wii. It's incredibly fun, pretty deep, and it will certainly deepen your appreciation for music in general. It's plenty of fun by yourself, but even better with a friend or two. It's not for everyone, but give it a fair chance and you just might enjoy yourself.
Best Music Game!!!
Awesome Music Game!!! Maybe The Best Music Game Ever!!! U gotta buy it!!! Play It!!! Live It!!!!!!!!
It is a very good. Game
Wii music is a very good game. However, the game is easy to complete and it seems to not give you much fun as it should be given. Overall, a very good game.
OK, but got a little annoying.
I had a GameStop giftcard and this was $5 so I thought why not? Well, I would say DON'T ever pay full price and maybe not even pre-owned. So the maestro guy is VERY annoying. The whole game is kind of boring. You pretty much just move the remote and nunchuck and push a few random buttons. The little people are weird. The Be-Bops (metronome) are so loud, that I can barely hear the music. One part I like is in the mini games, I like Pitch Perfect. I would only get this for a kid or someone really into music and easy gaming. Oh, and there are only about 5 songs to do so far. Do re mi, My grandfather's clock, The flea waltz, Twinkle twinkle little star, and Daydream believer. No Owl City :( Anyway, I think Wii Party would be fun.
Cool dont pay attention too haters
this game can get boring but it is good game to give to little kids so i reconmend it to any new wii owners
Not like guitar hero, but not bad. Not bad at all.
This game is actually pretty fun! But i find it strange how when i hit a note EXACTLY right, the pitch is off, ESPEICALLY in the Super Mario Bros. Song. Other than that, it's pretty fun!
MOST UNDERRATED GAME EVER
what is with all these negative reviews? this is a high caliber music game. now here is what is different about this game and sets this game apart from other music games: in other games like guitar hero or rock band you have a set of notes to play and the more you got correct the higher your score. but in wii music there is no score. you get to customize your music in almost any way possible. you pick your song, and your stage and then you can change the tempo to rapidly fast or horribly slow. and you can even change instruments. thier are diffrent catagories of instruments to change to from japenese and electric to classical and rock. the stages in this game are really cool as well. from a club and on the back of a truck to a giant birthday cake and a music hall. there are over 70 instruments from pianos and drums to guitars and some things just downright random like rapper and beatboxer. there are also fun mini games. you can conduct an orchestra with a song of your choice, you can grab hand bells and play with the rythm of a song of your choice and you can use your memory skills and pick the right thing and goes with a hint you get before the game. and if you want to keep those songs that were really cool you can make a music video and save it. when you make a video you design your own CD case and rate it yourself. so overall wii music was a wide variety of music and game to choose from and with all the things you can do this game will keep you busy for a long time.
Cool game, but got old after a few minutes
I got this game thinking it was so fun but it was not what I expected. the game lets you play different instruments through the Wii remote which is nothing like how you play them in real life. Big whoop. it really makes you do every music practice perfectly or you will repeat it until you get so frustrated that you just turn the Wii off and do something better like rub your grandma's feet. looks fun, but if you want my opinion it's just going to collect dust on your shelf.
THIS IS THE BEST WII GAME EVER!
I love this game!!! The music is very cheerful and awesome. I love the instruments also. The best part is that You don't need the Wii baland board. you can buy it if you want but you don't have 2. I would defitnely reccomend this to a friend. I love it!!! You should buy this game right now!!!
This game is very fun and you only need $13.00 to buy it. That's a deal.
