Winter sports can't get better
Okay, for the people that complain about it saying it being compatable with the balance board, it doesn't!! I searched the whole box and it only said wii remote and nunchuck. For the game itself it is actually a game the lasts for a while. The only annoying thing is the commentators that you can turn off. The multiplayer may not be the best, but it is a really good winter sports game that alomst nothing can beat.

This game is a dud. Not worth it.
I purchased this game expecting it to be fully compatible with any Wii products (including Nunchuk and Balance Board). I bought it specifically to use with the Wii Balance Board since I loved using the Wii Fit and Wii Sports, both which are true Nintendo Wii products. This particular game was not made by Nintendo, it was produced by Conspiracy Entertainment. Although it does state on the package that it supports the Wii Balance Board... My first clue that this game was filled with issues occurred right at the start up, as the menu started to load, the images became very slow and jerky. It had a lot of trouble trying to get to the main menu. It also struggled to play the games as well in the first few minutes, occasionally stuttering and skipping. To make everything worse, it took well over 4 minutes to load a new sport, sometimes longer which was unacceptable. I have never seen this happen on any other games I tried before. I had a dickens of a time trying to switch it to the board, it did not recognize that it was turned on at all which forced me to reset the game several times. When it finally saw the Wii board, the controls were awful and virtually non-existent. The instructions for playing the different sports were poor and somewhat difficult to follow. For example, the Ski Jump does not offer any indication when to jump plus it did not sense when I wanted it to jump at all. The Speed Skating event was equally as unresponsive. It was a horrendous experience trying to use any of the remotes with this game. I tried my best to keep going through the games, thinking that it was my fault that I couldn't participate in the games. Boy was I wrong... The majority of the games were not in tune with the remotes, especially with the Wii Balance Board. It was not sensitive to my movements nor did it reflect in the game well. Out of curiousity, thinking that there was something wrong with the Wii Balance Board, I switched to the Wii Sports game and had absolutely no problems with it. The Winter Sports Ultimate Challenge clearly has a design flaw with the Wii Balance Board despite the fact that it "supports" it. It was also missing the subtitles for the running commentary (most games it can be turned on, I could not find that option anywhere). However, I had someone else listen to what was being said as I played it and they remarked that it was really rude and insulting. However, the graphics were stunning and well rendered. The scenery was beautiful and professionally done. It did not feel a cheap kids game at all, it felt more geared towards adults who wanted a high quality product. Overall, I was deeply disappointed with this game and really struggled to use it. I was not at all happy with it. I contacted EBGames regarding returning it and they said I could not return it since it was "opened" which was inappropriate since it not sealed in the first place (no shrink wrap) even though it was new. I saw the desk clerk at the store open the package, go through the drawers of games, place the game in the package and give it to me. (I did ask if it was new or used, and they clearly said it was new.) They had no right to accuse me of "opening" it since they were the ones who opened it in the first place and had the disc sitting around elsewhere.
