not to be
Sorry folks!
I expected more from this game. Being an X-Men fan this game lacks a whole lot. Mainly character facts. Example, since when does Gambit heal as fast as Wolverine? Environment interaction are totally limited. It would've have been better off as a linear action game instead of wasting time on a poor 3D world. Why can't there be better super hero rpg games instead of stuff like this? I'm not even a hardcore gamer, but when I do play, i expect to get my moneys worth. This was not worth the pre-owned price I paid.

GOOD STORY HORRIBLE GRAPHICS
This game is good exept the graphics stink and that's a downer, because I watched an awesome youtube video chain for this game on the xbox and it had great graphics! But no, they had to make everything exept the graphics goosd in this game. It has a great story, I read comics so I know most of the X men and Brotherhood characters such as Gamit and Pyro. If you don't care about graphics and like the idea of an X men game, get this see ya in the comcs again(read my reveiw on marvel ultimate alliance and you'll get it) gamerman665:)

I Enjoyed The Wii Version Better
Ok let me start by saying that I played both the 360 and Wii versions of X-Men Destiny. The thing that absolutely bugged me about the 360 version is the fact that you know Silicon Knights COULD and SHOULD have done SO MUCH more to make it better, where as the Wii version FEELS as it was something that was actually made specifically for the Wii, if that makes any sense. Just for an example lets talk about the graphics (Yes graphics dont make the game gameplay does, but im just using it as an example). On 360 the graphics are very bland and ugly, you know that 360 is capable of WAY MORE then what Silicon Knights put out, where as the Wii version the graphics are kind of cel shaded "comic book" like and there for suits the Wii version better. As far as the gameplay goes its identical on both systems with the differences being the level layouts which are COMPLETELY different on the Wii, there are no extras like character bios or stuff like that, and when your character meets and interacts with the X-Men and Brotherhood there are only still frames of the characters on screen while the voice overs play. Again, Im not bashing the 360 version its just that you know it could have been much more then what was released. This game (in my opinion) suits the Wii better.

Do Not Buy This Game!
I've been following this game for a while now, preordered my copy a month ago, and finally got it yesterday. I was optimistic at first, but became very disappointed when I actually started playing. The story is pretty good, but the gameplay is very repetitive. Essentially, just mashing the A button repeatedly can beat most enemies. The enemies you fight are very repetitive, too. Also, the game can be easily beaten in a single day (about 5 hours, actually). The choices you make throughout the game don't really affect the outcome that much, either, so replayability is pretty low. The worst part is in how the Wii version differs from the versions for Xbox 360 and PS3, though.
The graphics are nowhere near as good for the Wii version, but that is to be expected since the Wii is a less powerful system in terms of graphics. I didn't even mind about the graphics too much because I thought the graphics they use fit in well with the comic book feel of the game. One thing I did mind, though, was that the x-genes list is severely lower in the Wii version. I don't know how many total x-genes there are in the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions, but there are a grand total of 8 in the Wii version. According to the official game website, there are supposed to be 3 x-genes for each x-man/brotherhood character (an offensive, a defensive, and a utility gene), but in the Wii version there's only 1 for each character, with fewer characters represented in the list. I know from reading other reviews that the x-genes for Colossus, Cyclops, Nightcrawler, and possibly others are in the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions, but all of the above characters are left out of the x-genes list in the Wii version. Also, the ability to unlock certain achievements and other rewards have been left out of the Wii version as well. I could go on about other things that were promised but then left out of the Wii version, but my point is that the game in general is not great, and compared to the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions the Wii version feels like a demo being sold at full game price.
One final note: the official game website does not mention anywhere that the game content is different for the Wii version of the game.

An awesome looking action RPG!
The X-Men series hasn't been the best. I mean it's fun, but it could be better. This one is taking a different approach. Correct me if I'm wrong but this is my 9th and 2nd to last preview in a series of previews I'm calling year of the Wii. I'm writing all these previews of Wii games because soon the Wii U is coming out, and then they will probably stop making Wii games. Yes I know it's sad. Soon (As in after this preview and one more) I am going to stop writing previews of Wii games. Any comments please post under my preview of Bit.Trip Complete. That's the only one I check comments for. So this looks like an awesome Action RPG, as opposed to the other which are just action games. My final Wii game preview will be of Rythym Heaven by the way.

...... how should i put this......
ive been seeing previews of this game and the fact that this game looks like Depression and Death Threw up all over ultimate alliance 2 to make this game dissapoints me, the use of x-genes is a plus and there using early x-men nobody knows about to make it seem like they didnt just pull these main characters outta the toilet. They think that all us players will just think these main characters have huge backstories and played some sort of role in the earlier x-men then there sadly mistaked. Pixie and northstar have never been heard off by most players and thats a fact so putting them there makes it seem like lets say the Aimi was a member of the paragons or something. Yes aimi strongly resembles to a paragon but she isnt one. The least they could have done is let us make our own characters with a choice of default powers but they were too lazy and desided to just pull these 3 characters nobody has ever heard off outta the toilet. The graffics looks insanely choppy which makes me see this as a upgraded ultimate alliance game. it may be just the fact of beta and i hope it is. Im looking forward to it but at the same time not so sure about it

Cross Your Fingers
Xmen...has not been known for great video games. But this...I admit, I am excited. I am a huge fan of the comics and movies, and I hope that this is a game where we finally get to design a mutant for ourselves!
