Xbox 360 Battery PowerPak
Stick with microsoft
I bought the powerpak kit a couple months ago. At first it worked great and didn't have to worry about batteries anymore. Then I noticed I had to constantly charge it. Now my wireless controller has to be connected in order to work. Buyer beware.
broke my controllers
worked great but after a month a noticed that both of my halo reach controllers had cracks in bottom of the controller where the springs are. tape worked for a little bit. but now I am out two controllers. would not recommend.
The design entices the consumer to buy, and at first works great, long charge and charges quick. Downside: After about a month or two it will lose it's charge and no longer be a "rechargeable" battery.
First, I want to say that the people who are complaining about this are not using it right/ taking horrible care of it. I only bought this product because when I was moving my gaming setup to setup my HD PVR, i lost one of the rechargeable batteries. First your going to need to buy the chargebase for $20 to $30( its worth it if you enjoy Xbox) it already comes with 2 batteries. BEfore you buy a fancy new mic or a new xbox game, get this product. without this a xbox game would not be worth the buy as every 10 minutes you gotta get new batteries. Im ALItm1, and i support this product.
bought but failed
this product was doing good for a while but then all of sudden it didn't want to charge anymore i wouldn't recommend this for you but i did like the design
I bought a charging/docking station for my XBOX 360 controllers last year in november. One of the batteries got stepped on by my roomie so I ordered another one since it broke. The batteries are not too bad. I've gotten about an average of 48-60hrs of gameplay out of them at first and now over a year later, i'm getting about 36-48hrs of gameplay out of them. I've been happy, all in all. With this battery i ordered, I thought i'd be getting a black one since thats what the pic shows but it came as a white one. Rather ironic because I had ordered a used controller to replace my dead backup thinking it'd be white (because of the pic) and when I received it, it was black and grey LOL. So now I have 2 black controllers, one black battery and one white battery.
Not worth it
I now have a crack where the battery sits cause this brand does not fit correctly in the xbox controllers . If u need a new battery i say get brand named not this one. You may save getting the off brand but getting a new controllers is not cheap if it cracks yours.
Best battery buy!
I had to give this a review hearing all the people saying that these batteries dont last long. I have had 2 of these batteries with the Nyko charging station going on two years and have no problems! The microsoft batteries and charge kit I have went thru 3 of them in a year. I have yet to replace one of these Nyko batteries so to me this is the best route to go! I am sure people can get a new battery and it go bad quick. Maybe thats what happen to me with the microsoft ones? All I can say is that for almost 2 years these Nyko batteries charge quick and are going strong! You cant lose with these batteries!
I'm mainly writing this review because of all the concerns of this battery not fitting. It fits FINE. Apparently nobody knows how to figure things out. When you put it in, angle it so the bottom goes in first, then hold the button on top of the battery and slip it into place. BAM no problem. As for the reviews saying the battery life isn't long, I have yet to see a problem.
Good for a couple of months. (MUST READ)
I purchased this Nyko Battery Pack a couple months ago. At first it was really great, made me happy. After around 2 months or less the battery life gradually shortened. From 25 hours to 18 hours, 18 hours to 12 hours, 12 hours to 3-4 hours. Now, the battery pack wouldn't even charge anymore. So now, I'm stuck with a $10 battery that wouldn't even function anymore.
