Great but.....
Hello my name is David and I'm going tell you about the Turtle Beach XLC. This headset came to me from my brother as a Christmas present. The sound quality is very good but, so good I used them to watch TV and movies but there are some drawbacks. The frame is very fragile! Here some pros and cons. Pros: -Cheap -Good sound quality Cons -Very fragile -Not Comfortable I recommend this headset for casual gamers who are only going use them for gaming.

good but very fragile
I bought this mic because it was a very cheap turtle beach. the sound quality was great it lasted me for 2 months because i took care of it the things that broke where the things that held the headphones to you ear, they snapped and headphones were hanging by a black wire all and all the mic is very good but you HAVE TO TAKE CARE OF IT!!!!

Pretty good headset, only one flaw.
This turtle beach is affordable and it works great. the only flaw in the headset is that you cannot hear other people very well if you have the sound coming through the headset at the same time. otherwise it is a great headset. i recently broke mine and that was my fault. I would still recomend this headset to any gamer.

Just don't even bother wasting your money!!
If you really want to buy this just go outside and light the your money on fire. I hang mine up and still part of the plastic broke off. The left earpiece does not produce sound.

The headset works pretty good but can be fragile.
To be honest, the first time i saw turtlebeaches for $30 i got really excited. Basically you're getting surround sound, turtlebeach action for just $10 more than a regular mic. Or so i thought. I've bought two pairs of these. My first pair i was very happy with. I bought them a week after they were released and lasted me just about a year until my dog stepped on them and broke the bracket everyone else has been talking about. My second pair i'm not so happy with. When they first came out of the package, i realized there was a couple flaws. First, the plastic that covers the volume piece seemed like it melted onto the volume control. Not too big of a deal. The next thing i notice was that the velcro that's used to keep the extra cord wrapped together, was placed on the wrong side of the wire and made it so that you couldn't wrap the cord together unless you want 8 ft of cord bound up right below your jaw. These problems weren't around when they first came out. Just recently that bracket is about half seperated and soon to break. I'd say i've had this pair for about 4 or 5 months. I have kept better care of this pair than my first and my dog hasn't stepped on these. Other than that, the quality is pretty good. They work just as well as Turtlebeach X1 except that theres not separate controls for voice and game which can be fixed by going to the game's volume options and turning down the master volume. In the end, they're pretty good for the price. Personally, i believe they're making cheaper productions of these headsets now because when they first came out they were durable. My next trip to gamestop im not gonna be cheap and im going to dish out 50 bucks and buy the Turtlebeach X11's.

Very Fragile
I had them for a week and the clips holding the speaker completely broke off. I sent them back got a new one and they broke again, Your better off putting another 20 + dollars to get a better headset.

Design flaw.
The first time I bought this headset the brackets was broken. So I returned it got a new one and it lasted from summer of 2011 to now. Had the same problem as first one brackets. Do not buy.

I would not recomend this product anytime.
This product was very good for the first week. But after that the mic kept on making a buzzing sound and it took five minutes to be able to talk with people.

Do not buy this product.
Seriously, it was broken inside the plastic box when I got it. The bracket that attaches the speakers to the headband was broken before I even opened the piece of garbage. I'll have to go and get super glue just to keep the stupid thing on my head.
