A great idea that is underachieving
I'll admit it - I'm a sucker for killing Animal Planet cover animals. Strange, because I don't own a gun and have never (and will never) shoot anything. But I have a zeal for the kill, evidently. And this title really made me think (despite the poor reviews) that it would be all I hoped it would be. But it sadly isn't. The graphics are poor, the animals run with the most unnatural gait, and really who wanders around the savannah on foot? Game would flee the white hunter before he ever got close enough to blast them! But setting aside these middling problematic details ... you still get to blast things. Which is actually pretty fun, tracking and finding the animals, and needing to take that perfect and quick shot to take 'em down. And the variety of game is breathtaking: dik-dik, crocodile, hippo, antelope, wildebeest and much, much more. So while the game may not be all it could be, it is the ONLY hunting game that takes place in Africa and doesn't involve endless deer with large racks, and that is worth something. It may not capture your attention, but it certainly catches your imagination. Or at least mine.

Not the best they can do
I have played other hunting games and this was one of the worst. It is to hard and boring and has no point.

Wide variety of game
There is a wide variety of animals to hunt in this game and the gun selection is also pretty good. I am not an actual hunter, so I don't know if this is like ral hunting, but I still had fun playing, and not because I'm shooting animals, it's just fun because you get to see some wildlife even if it's animated and then you can shoot it and know that it wasn't real but get points for it. I like it, which surprises me since I love animals and in real life couldn't do anything to an animal, unless it was like a skunk or something revolting. I also like other Cabela's games, they are a lot of fun, such as Big Game Hunter, and I want to get Dangerous Hunts 2011 and North American Adventures.

it's ok
I played the first dangerous hunts and i thought it would be like this game but it's so different. you have to beat the whole game just to do free hunt, which it to hunt every animal in the game. i justed wanted to hunt, not to be every story. if you dont want to play the story then don't by it. if you like story and then the hunting games then is this is the perfect game for you. the animals do interact really good. they will attach or run when you shoot at them. a bit of warning, never kill an animal that your hunting. you get attacked then you kill the animal, you will get a warning and you only get 3. you can ride in jeeps or walk. you get good guns and tracking is really really helpful in the game. it does do a time limit in the game. you have to hunt before dark so it will take time to kill the animal.
