Mehhhhhh.............................
Meh, played better, played worse. That's the case. I mean, at the beginning of the game, it's kinda hard. cause you have to fend off Deatheaters consistently and they come in bunches, so it's not the worst game in the world, but I'm not into it.

This game was a decent game for the casual player.
starting out you notice that the voices aren't of the characters from the movie.
the games isn't about a layout its about missions mainly but somethings that happen on the way there happen in the movie.
You only get to be harry which is a bit of a bummer but they fix that in the next game. you never have anything like a boss fight that is harder then the rest so it can be very repetitive. Also you can repeat missions at the start mission for fun so the game can go on forever. overall i would wait till the price is lower. But if you love Harry Potter as much as me it is a great game to buy. I beat withing hours so it is very short but still worth buying

Could have been better...
Title says it all. It was fun at first, but the gameplay was rather repetitive and linear. At least all of the spells do what they are supposed to do.

could have been better
This new Harry Potter game is not nearly as good as some of the previous games. This time around it is really just fighting fighting fighting with occasional cut scenes that don't really look to good, with non flowing conversations and faces that look robotic.
Well, the game play depends on which system you are playing it on... Wii? Great. ps3? good. Xbox? Not to good with kinect, not too much movement, and controller just doesn't feel natural. PC? Also good. All together though, the game play wasn't the best it could be. The spells were annoying to switch from, causing you to have to take cover just to change a spell if you are in battle, and you will often find the new taking cover button rather annoying, for example, your character doing it automatically.
The story line is nothing like the movie, making every little part of the movie into a major fighting seen, or an annoying stealth level where if a muggle sees you you have to start over. But over all, this game can follow the story mode at times, but it doesn't urge you onward to find out what happened next.
ps. I will be making a youtube account very shortly for those who are interested, though I do not know what my account will be or an exact date, so pay attention to my newer reviews to see news on it.

It's a decent game
I LOVE Harry Potter and was VERY excited when I heard this was coming out. However, I was disappointed. It's not a terrible video game overall, but it does get very tedious very quickly. You have the story line, and to continue the story line there are three missions you must complete in order to continue with the story line (the missions can be completed in any order) The missions are basically freeing muggle-born people and fighting death-eaters, snatchers, dementors (basically, people that are on He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named side). I found these missions to be a little pointless and irrelevant (Nothing of this was mentioned in the book or movie that I remember). You only have a few spells in which you can use, some require "loading" then others, so the minimal spell use, and "loading" can get very annoying. However, played on an Xbox 360 and the graphics are amazing! It's not horrible overall, it's a good game to play when bored or you just want to play it again (Which is what I do). Out of a 5, I give this game about a 2; and summarize in three words; tedious, consistent, alright. *(I wouldn't listen to those people who say it's down-right terrible, it's a good game overall, just gets tedious quickly and stays fairly consistent with the story-line part of the movie)

Its fun, but.....
I bought this game during the summer out of boredom along with the other harry potter games for the xbox 360 including, OOTP, HBP, and DH 1 and 2. OOTP and HBP were similar in the free rome aspect and were rather enjoyable. However, This game is very linear. It does not offer that free rome aspect that the other games do. Its similar to gears of war in the style of play and that the entire game consists of combat. It is a little bit repetative in that when i played i used the same spell for most of the game as well as i beat it on the hardest difficulty without breaking a sweat. For the most part, this game was fun and enjoyable for me. But its very linear and basic and doesnt offer much re-playability.
