One of the Best
I miss this game so much. This game was beast! Loved how they had rain delays, but they wouldn't stop a game past the 4th inning. The players' jersey rippled in the wind and got dirt on it from sliding and diving in the field. And the voices of Jon Miller and Joe Morgan are a lot better than the guys on it now. If you're looking for a good baseball game for the xbox, look no further, this is the best one out there!

Really good for a baseball fan.
I really enjoy this game for a few reasons. The graphics and the camera movements are very realistic, and the gameplay is pretty good too. 2K did a really good job with this game. Plus, my favorite player, Derek Jeter, is on the cover. No one better fit to done the title of "cover athlete" than him. 8/10 A very good game.

MASSIVE SAVE DRIVE PROBLEM
i read the review down there from 2009 i beleive and he tells all about an update the game added a while back that corrupts the save drive after about an hour of play.and i assumed since that was 2 years ago it was fixed by now but ITS NOT! if you buy this game and do not plan to play online DO NOT DOWNLOAD THE UPDATE!after about exactly an hour and on one and only one occasion i played for almost 2 hours, when you go to save your gm carear or dynasty or season it will say "save file curropted" and will not save your game untill you go to the dash board and back to the game. now it does seem like if you save after every single thing you do it goes a little longer.if you wait till youve messed around for 45 minutes to save it seems to be more prone to not saving more activity. So i recommend if you buy you save frequently. But about the game in general.mlb 2k7 actually does look very good.i thought the other reviewers were crazy cus ive owned and/or played ncaa 07, nhl 07,march madness 07, nba 2k7 & tiger 07 and those games look like play-do sculptures of feces compared to those series now. but mlb 2k7 isnt hard on the eye.and i regret just now getting into the 2k baseball series cus visually they were ahead of the others at that time.kudos 2k. UM but serious storage issues aside, this game for $2.99 is endless entertainment. im not a baseball fanboy.i havent owned a baseball game since the N64 because theyve been frequently dissapointing.but im wowed by the 2k series.they made baseball games fun & fluent again (which can be difficult do for someone like myself that doesnt have the attention span of 160 games a year) so for a whopping 2 bucks & change this game is worth it.and also ive played mlb 2k10 and if you're a baseball fan its deffently worth upgrading to newer additions.i never thought id say this but baseball games are on my buy list for the first time in a decade

its a great game.
My favorite way to play is the fantasy draft on franchise mode.

This is a great baseball game!
Hi. I just recently got this game for the xbox 360. it is a cheap game, and you can't go wrong for the price that it is now. i'll start out with the graphics. this is where the game absolutely excels. the player models, jerseys, equipment and faces all look fantastic. the jerseys even ripple when it's windy! also, when you slide the dirt stays on the uniform too. so those are pretty cool parts of the graphics. the stadiums look great too. there are fireworks that go off when u hit a home run, which adds a little bit of excitement to the game. the crowd lookfs really cool too, there are plenty of different animations. the sound is almost as good. the crowd is lively, as well as the stadium music and pa announcer. the commentary, by john miller and joe morgan, is also good. they can get a little repetitive but they are very good, and sound realistic. gameplay is equally as good. there are a variety of plays, and it does actually seem close to a real baseball game. there are a couple frame rate issues here and there, but they're rare. overall, this game is very good. if you're looking for a good baseball game and don't want to spend a lot of money, then you should pick up mlb 2k7 for the xbox 360!

Good game with a crippling flaw
I recently purchased this game after having played it to death nearly 2 years ago. The game mechanics themselves are quite good despite the slightly erratic swing stick. The camera angles that were utlilized are some of the most dynamic that I've ever seen are really add a sense of realism to the action at hand (as opposed to the nearly constant "blimp cam" in 2K9). The stat tracking is solid and the AI provides a stiff challenge even on the default "Pro" setting. However, even with all it's strong points, I can't recommend this game to anyone. 2K sports released a patch that was supposedly going to fix a number of bugs and glitches, and for the most part it did. But it also infected the game with possibly the most destructive force in gaming...the "corrupted save file". The problem is, if you've had your X-Box on for more than an hour or so, the game decides that it either can't read your memory device at all, or that all of your save files are damaged and unsable. This is especially irritating when one is in the middle of a season, but it's infuriating regardless. It's not technically unplayable, as I've managed to actually finish a game, save it, then restart my system and continue my franchise uninhibited (or at least play the next game). This is a major pain in the neck though, and frankly I don't think it's worth it unless you literally have nothing else to occupy your time.

Excellent Value
I purchased this game when it came out. I think it is one of the truest baseball sims out there. Even now its 2009, and its better than the new one out. The players look realistic and the gameplay is excellent. You feel like you are at the ballpark. They did a great job with the day/night physics. For instance, when you play a late game in the evening you can see the nighttime onset. Sometimes it rains and they have a delay of game. You can put your favorite songs in also. There are some little quirks, like when you play against the CPU the outfielder won't even look as he catches the ball at the warning track or the fence. They could have made the crowd more realistic. The anouncers are very good. Its fun to play this baseball game. For the price, it is a steal. Its well worth it.

outta of the park
This game is awesome if u are a true base ball fan u would get this game not because it is cheap and the economy is low but because i love it you would sure to love it.the reason i love this game because it is a huge challenge because the computer cheat a lot for some reason they can dive up to 10 feet and almost always they catch it . it really really really really really really really really really really bothers me. This game is fun to play. You can choose what kind of uniforms and the conditions to play your game at any stadium you can choose! This game actually looks like your watching a real baseball game on tv. You can argue at the umpire, be the umpire, have injuries and ejections! Its pretty fun to watch. You also get to hear the real Joe Morgan and Jon Miller! Its fun and i recommend to all the gamers who like baseball! Also you can view your sky box and check out your trophies, awards, and even play mini games like darts and air hockey. The only weird thing is that when you are going to the spot to catch a ball and your there, your player has to stretch to catch it! Plus you know how in old games you can walk thru people, well in this you can collide! Only if you call that you got it!
