You Really Have To Love Baseball
Let me start out by saying that this game is not bad by any means. The reason for the two one rankings is that gameplay and graphics are virtually non-existent. Any gamer that is looking for a simple fun and relaxing sports game should definitely look elsewhere, like what's recommended below. To enjoy this game you have to be willing to invest long periods of time in it. This game requires a lot of strategy and judgement rather than pure skill and luck. If you really are a hardcore fan and really want a chance to lead a franchise, go ahead and spend $5 for a chance to live your dream, sort of.

Unbelievable.
So much fun, i cant stop playing this game, it feels like im an actual general manger running an organization. Love how you have all the responsibilities of an actual gm.

good game if you know what you're doing
thisgame is really good for hardcore baseball fans. you have to really know what your are doing, or this game is absolutely pointless. i really like how realist the game is. my only issue with this game is that there isn't enough real players. the only players that are real have made an appearance in major league. i would like to have seen more minor league prospects, but still a really good game.

Good for GM's, NOT players
This game is great... if you like to be the real GM. Your not the GM and the Players like in most MLB games. You are just the GM. This includes Trades, Free Agents, Draft, Japan Bidding etc. However the games are pretty much simulated, and you have no control. It is your job to put good players on the field, and they will succeed. I had a team with what I thought would be similar to a Fantasy team in like an ESPN league but they weren't so good. However I gave this a 9 because once you get the hang of what you have to do its awesome. Yes I'm a person that simulates into the Playoffs so this was a good game for me.

This Game is AMAZING!!!!!!
This is the greatest coaching game that i have ever played. It is even better than NFL Head Coach 09, in my opinion. I have read a million and a half complaints about this game and that is honestly what held me back from getting this game, but i was shocked at how awesome it really is. The graphics are the best, but they dont have to be. The challenge of the game is very good, it is hard to get guys to sign with your team and it is very hard to win and win often. I love building a team for many years to come. I use the Cardinals and Pujols is absolutely tearing it up in the game. There are a few bad spots in the game. The interface could be a little easier to use and it would be helpful to have a few more sortable areas. This game has everything any GM could ask for from signing guys to the draft to waivers. This game is absolutely amazing and i would recommend it to any hardcore, stats driven baseball fan.

Not that interesting........
This game is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO boring!!!!!!!!!!!! If you are into all the stuff behind the games than this woulkd be perfect for you but on the other hand it is not all that fun. All you do during the season is tell them what to do you mainly just watch the CPUs. I think you should be able to manage the game AND play the games for real. You should be able to make your own characters and play the games for real. You are really just managing the injuries and getting people on your team. If you like all the boring stuff about baseball then it would be perfect but to NORMAL people (no offence to people who love the game) it shouldn't be the way it is. They should combine the games but then again that would take their profits down because it would cost more to make the games and they wouldn't make as much $$$$$$$. Bottom line is that this game isn't the best choice if you want more player interaction.

almost great
this game has all the potential to be great as a GM / manager simulator. not everyone loves to actually play the games, I wish all sports games had a manager/coach mode. at least give us the option... but the companies could include these modes in the real games like 2k9 etc but they would rather sell 2 games instead of 1 = more $$. anyway back to the game, everything in the game seems pretty realistic. I am a stats fanatic and can see the problems with any sports game after a couple of games. for almost any sport I can tell you what the average stat is for the common things that happen in a game. this game advertises it use the SATR stats database to get real stats... well after only 2 games I noticed a flaw in the game engine. when simming the games it is ok but when you manage the games you will notice that your CF never gets hits or flyballs to him. does not really affect the game but for a game that is all about stats etc this is pretty lame. sometimes I wish these companies would hire me to test out their sports games for realism based on stats. I'm a game creator and have created almost all sports games based on real stats to play with dice charts and have made some of them into simple basic computer programs.
