Great Game...
This game is the best MotoGP game to date... 09/10 was a fluke and 10/11 was average. MotoGP 08 is the best of the series, ive been hoping that Milestone would come back and make another game, only with an updated roster and graphics... I really cant say anything bad about this game other than it can be repetitive, and the bike/racing sounds aren't spot on. My favorite aspect is that you can create a player and manage his career, signing on with different teams and working your way up to grand prix racing (starting from the 125cc championship)... its a very fun experience all around... The game also gives you the option to play full Simulation or Arcade riding, which makes the game fun for more or less serious players... All around this is one of my favorite racing games to date.

Different Moto GP series, Capcoms take at a sequel?
I have owned and played many of the Moto GP games and Moto GP 08 is not my absolute favorite(this could just be attributed to Capcom taking over what THQ did a pretty good job of delivering). For fans of Moto GP I actually think it’s worth it for the Pre-Owned price. Pros: All the 08 season Moto GP stars are there and it is really cool to choose your favorite rider and tear up some of the best GP tracks out there. Some of the challenges are really challenging and Champion difficulty can become pretty intense with simulation handling. The graphics look pretty good overall on a XBox 360. The sounds are good and spitting flames out the exhaust is a nice visual effect. Also power sliding, drifting or backing it in...whatever you choose to call it for this game, in Advanced or Simulation handling is a pretty neat realism to watch in playback. The bikes actually have slight features and benefits in there stock form like real life from one another. For example a stock form Ducati GP9 has more top speed then Rossi's Fiat Yamaha M1, while the M1 handles and falls in a little nicer then the GP9. Now on that point you can adjust the basic settings or obtain upgrade points in 4 categories for braking, top speed, acceleration, traction in Career mode. Running through 125, 250 and full on Moto GP class bikes is pretty rewarding and fun to accomplish. You can set lap amounts as well for each race, choose to run unlimited practice laps, qualify or just get down to dragging a knee and bumping bows with the greats. Cons: Unlike 07 and some of the other Moto GP release's there is no longer a Extreme mode, so no upgrades or bikes to purchase. Customizing your rider in Career mode is limited to the Team you choose, so aside from choosing your number and helmet, your bike and riders look has no distinguishing features that set you apart from Stoner, Hayden, Rossi, etc. Also no options to create a team or customize the look of your bike. There is a glitch that occasionally occurs when you start a track that relocates the swing arm pivot point; so in simple terms your bike appears to be slammed in the rear as far as it can go. It could be mental, but as far as I could tell this also directly effects the handling. Usually the next track the rear swing arm returns to a normal pivot location, and if you quit the race I have seen this fix it as well, but in career mode you forfeit the race as a DNF, and acquire 0 points towards your championship. The playback has no picture mode or record for those awesome wheelies, stoppies over the finish, crashes or just good knee-dragging cornering. In conclusion if I could change things about this game or make requests for Moto GP 09 they would be.... 1.Allow customization of bikes or to create your own Team with logo as well as colors.....possibly take a hint from Forza 2 on customizing the bike. 2.Bring back a extreme mode, in the extreme mode add different circuits like Barber or some of the AMA tracks.... as well as different parts suppliers with different benefits, I know licensing (Power Commander, Bazazz, Ohlin’s, injectors, lighter wheels, smaller or larger rotors, etc.) 3.Fix the glitch with swingarm or suspension 4. Allow playback record or picture mode so I can make my XBox dashboard background a image of me stuffing Pedrosa, Stoner and Rossi on the corkscrew at Laguna Seca.

Played it at the MotoGP race at Indy
They had a demo to play at the MotoGP race at Indy. I played it on the 360 and thought it was pretty solid. Seemed a liitle easier to control than the past versions, but still maintained its core racing feel. As in the past, I believe that the hard core MotoGP fans will love it. Just the fact that you get to race at the MotorSpeedway is a treat in itself. I'm anxious to get my hands on this one.
