Exhausting and fun, by turns
A perfect title for kids, and tangentially for their adults; lots of color, motion, catchy songs, and trademarked characters make the kids want to dance along, and the amount of energy required to play will please parents who would like to see their children burn some energy off. Almost all of the songs are foot-tappingly hummable, and will get kids moving. The dancing is judged on a scale of 0 stars to 3 stars (inside secret: even if you don't move you will STILL get some stars!), which makes the game just competitive enough for kids but not so much so that they get hurt by the competitive spirit. And it is LOUD, so be sure to turn your tv down. The big downside, though, is a huge one: the same Kinect technology which makes the game possible is also the same Kinect that you must manipulate to operate the controls, and that is a big problem for small children who lack the discipline and attention to allow Kinect to read their full motions. Specifically when at the selecting menus it is insanely and frustratingly easy for a kids to reset the Kinect motion scanner and cause endless confusion with whom is selecting the next song. That is an endless source of problems at this house, at least. Flaws aside, my three kids give it a very strong thumbs up.
i really love this game for my kids. my daughter loves it, and even my 2 year old can play it with her. it even gives you something to do together with your child, its very easy for the kids to understand, my daughter can do everything on it already. she loves it so much, i think this is a game that will be around for a long time. any nick fan will love it. i think by far one of the best games for kids.
Excelent Game For Kids. I Recommend it.
Gameplay is easy. Even if you dont do the moves rigth youll get stars and still complete the stage..
Best Game for Young Children
My wife and I are in love with this game! Our 22 month old and 4 year old are both capable of playing. The onscreen instructions are easy to understand and the game control is incredibly forgiving for young players. Scoring is done buy how closely they mimic the onscreen dance moves Three Stars for a perfect move, Two Stars for giving it a try, and One Star for just standing around in the connect viewing area. If your kids are anything like ours and need to play together all the time, this is your game.
Good Kinect Game For Kids
My five year old girl loves Dora and loves the Kinect. I want to buy this for her when it comes out. She's been wanting a Dora game for XBOX 360. I'm hoping its a great game for her and for other children. I just think that some kinect games should come out at a cheaper price.
