Great Skateboarding Game
I have played this for a while. It looks kinda like Tony Hawk's Pro Skater game, except it's Shaun White. I liked everything the same in this game. The controls were the best. Even though it took me a while to learn all of it, I memorized them and do awesome tricks. Try it. You'll like it!

Where skateboarding and fantasy meet.
I really loved this game. as a skateboarder myself it was already appealing, but the fantasy and the morphing, the freedom the story, everything was great. This is not only a great skateboarding game, but a pretty good video game in general. you should go pick it up.

MMMMM.... It's Okay Gets Boring Though
Alright so first off the game is really exciting but after a while it gets boring because you are a skater that is trying to bring life to the city. At first everything is all good and all the first couple levels fly by but then they start asking you to like graffiti on walls and stuff. Like what does that have to do with skating. Oh well though. Overall if you ask me, this game is perfect for people that have patience. And if you don't this game probably isn't for you. Thanks for reading my review I have many others in case you wan't to check those out and I will see you soon. :D

game sucks but free roam is fun
this is worst than tony hawk ride. ps2 has way better graphics.you only get two characters, shaun white and you,but u can down load if u have xbox live.the game is only fun for a good hour or so. GET SKATE OR TONY HAWKS PROVING GROUND.

Better Than Expected
I bought this game because it was on sale for $39.99, and I got every cent worth for this game. Many of my friends told me not to get this Shaun White Skateboarding, but despite their opinions, I soon found out how great this game is. First off, the gameplay is fun. It is not realistic like skate, so if you want a realistic game, search on, but if you want an easy-playing, fun game, this is the one for you! Because this game is so unrealistic, it is extremely fun, and addictive. Rails and ramps extend as you ride them. Awesome game, and worth every penny.

Pure awesomeness...
For me this game is tied for the best skating game i've ever played with skate 3. The whole idea of shaping your own rails and transforming your world from a skateboard was awesome. The graphics and dialogue were not great but gameplay was purely awesome. I love the whole concept of the game and never got bored of it during my first playthrough. This game was awesome.

It's alright
So far I've played it for several hours. I've played all the skate games, tony hawk games up to the recent two. This game takes influences from them both and is it's own game. There isn't much of a storey, but what skateboarding game does? Does skate? Sort of, go pro, that it's. So don't complain about the story. The graphics are a bit dated. The first skate had better graphics in my opinion. However, they are stylized and unique which is refreshing. The thing that gets annoying is whenever you land on the ground after an ollie or a trick sequence there's a blue wave that resonates from your skateboard. This is fine for the first while but after the 800th time it's annoying. The controls are overly simple. At first your character only knows a few basic flip tricks and you have to earn experience points by doing challenges to buy tricks and once you start to accumulate enough tricks it's analog stick time. Like skate, the analog sick is used but unlike skate the thumbstick is only flipped into two directions to form the trick. You don't HAVE to use the x and b buttons for trick's as other people clame, however they can be used. In vert tricks, yes they are used, but in street tricks, not so much.
The environment is quite open as well, the tutorial isn't all that great in my opinion. They don't get into tricks until the end of it, they get into influencing the environment before getting into most of the tricks which is backwards. You influence the environment by doing tricks, so why not teach us how to do a few basic tricks before telling us everything about influencing the environment? Also, this game is heavy on transforming the environment, but only in certain spots where they have rails or ramps that can be transformed. The rails you can manipulate don't have a long timer ont hem so there's less to work with then there should be. For example, they might only have a 5 second timer on it so you can't go around the whole map with one rail, you have to get to a specific destination point which gives the player less control and versatility.
All in all, this game is at least worth a rent and checking out if you're into a fun casual game but if you're a hardcore gamer that's into skate and the competitiveness of that then this game is not for you.
