Not worth the money...
I am a huge fan of the Silent hill games..So when the HD collection came out I couldn't wait to get it since I never had the 3rd Silent hill game for my collection..Sadly When I got the game and started to play it there where so many problems with the sound and how glitchy the game play is I stopped playing it.Konami said that they would be releasing patches to fix these problems,So I have been waiting for the patch to be released to be able to play the game without all the issues.
Konami released the patch for the PS3 about a month ago and we where told that the 360 patch would be out in a few more weeks, well now Konami has said there will be no patch for the Xbox 360..

HD goodness!
With all of these HD collections and games coming out it's hard to keep up nowadays. I've always loved the Silent Hill games. After seeing this sitting in the store, I always yelled for joy. Both games look incredible, and the sound is even creepier than before. The new voices for Silent Hill 2 are a little strange, but nonetheless you have the option to choose between the new voices and the old voices. In a nutshell - same scary from Silent HIll 2 and 3, but a new fresh look and feel to the games.

stop complaining!
Konami announced a little while back that they're going to release a patch soon to fix all of the bugs and whatnot. 2 seems fine but the frame rate on 3 goes crazy when using the submachine gun. These are still the games you know and love so just shut up and buy this :)

A Little Disappointed
I remember the countless hours of Silent Hill with one of my buddies, the one game I am ok watching him play for hours on end. I think Silent Hill was great in near every game they made, I played too, I really liked Shattered Memories, I like Silent Hill a lot, but I am disappointed there is only Silent Hills 2 and 3 included. Can you even call it a collection with only 2 games included? I would have really been impressed if Silent Hills 1 and 4 were in it as well, maybe Shattered Memories would be a stretch? It could have also given them a reason to charge the full $60 as well. They were probably going to, but they had to cut short, probably to make up for Downpour, I haven't played it yet, but from what I hear, it isn't all too great.

Not much difference and major sound issues
I love Silent Hill, 2 and 3 are my absolute favorites. So of course I bought the hd collection because my PS2 died and it's two games in one, so why not? I can't tell the difference in terms of the graphics, it doesn't look that much different. Of course I hadn't played either game for a while before I bought this, but it just doesn't look any better. The only major issue I've had is the sound. I've had some major issues with the music going on and off at random, especially when I pause. I would approach an enemy and the music would come on but then it would stop and start at random, and no it wasn't because the enemy was running away. Sometimes it felt like the music was skipping and was very glitchy. All in all it's great to be able to play them again and even though there are sound issues, I think It's worth buying especially at $40.

Not Bad for $40
I have never played the original games, but I loved the concept. The story is not only great but very mind bending. The gameplay is great with the one downfall of camera angle. I wish it was more like the third person in silent hill homecoming or downpour. The games are both very long, and at times it may require a guide. But they are both very great and scary. Also you get to see the greatest creation ever added to anything horror...Pyramid Head!

Why is this game popular?
It is too dark, puzzles are illogical, the camera angle is bad. There is no plot at all. Dont buy it

A trip down memory lane
What can I say..... These games are just like I remembered them and my memories of these games are fond. If you enjoyed playing these games in there glory days chances are you will enjoy them today. The graphical changes are not as noticeable as I had hoped. In fact I am not sure the letters HD should even be on the box. I mean whats the point of presenting low resolution tiles and textures in HD?
