The Amazing Spider-Man - Spiderman: Manhattan City
This game was exactly what I wanted after playing the Batman Arkham games. My favorite superhero has always been Spiderman, so I'm happy for a game to finally be made that's similar to the Arkham games. This game doesn't have as much in it as Arkham City, in terms of missions and puzzles, but I was perfectly fine with it being easier. This game is decently long and offers a wide open world of Manhattan to swing around in and has some side missions/minigames. It took me about 13 hours to beat the game and have about 85% overall completion. (the only reason it isn't 100% percent is because I didn't search for all the collectibles)
Pros
-Similar to Arkham City
-Web slinging is extremely fun
-Unlock powers as you go
-Pretty fun side missions/events
-Different Spiderman suits to collect and use
-Funny dialougue at certain parts
Cons
-Some loading bugs
-Some swinging and web glitches
-When swinging around really fast, and jumping around, it's kind of hard to control your landing and you'll land where you didn't want to
-Standard dialogue from Spiderman gets boring and after a few hours
-A group of standard enemies are usually harder to beat than the bosses, and will cause you to go on dying streaks some
Suggestions
-Install the game
-Wait for/Use unlock points for damage resistance and web shooting speed
-Unless you're going for the collect all 700 comic pages achievement, ignore them.
FINAL THOUGHTS
All in all this game is definitley worth getting. The bugs are only occasional and you will get past them or out of them. The story may get boring and some points, but the game is definitley worth a playthrough.

Beenox is on the right track
Now just let me get one thing straight: Beenox, the current developer for the Spiderman games, have not won me over yet. Between the two games that they did before this one, only Shattered Dimensions was really good. And I'll be totally honest, this game kind of let me down after the epic first trailer they put out for it. That's not to say it's a bad game, it certainly isn't, but it hasn't managed to fully live up to the fantastic free-roam Spiderman games that came out in the past, like Spiderman 2 and Web of Shadows. The gameplay, at it's core, works as well as it should: the action is fast paced, and against giant bosses rather tense (though I really wish there were more than two in the entire game). You have the ability to dodge and counter hits with as much ease as the actual Spiderman would (except bullets, which SHOULD be easy to dodge as Spiderman), and the make-shift wrestling inspired moveset is actually really nice, though one day I would like to see a game that properly uses the Way of the Spider combat style. The game is set up into a series of linear levels with the actual sandbox in between, and overall the two blend nicely. The graphics are impressive, though I noticed that if you go through an area too fast the buildings haven't fully loaded their textures and it looks really bad. The music really fits, giving the feeling of heroism, and maybe a little of the cockiness, that Spiderman fits to perfectly. But here's the main problem with the game: with the exception of being able to replay levels (which is something only the 100% players would use), their is NOTHING to do when you're done with the story. There is only a set number of crimes to stop and other side-missions, and when you do all of them nothing else will appear. This essentially DESTROYS the replay value of the game, especially if you get tired of just swinging around the city at random, with no distractions. And I'm not going to say anything about the web swings not connecting to the buildings, something that they were able to do in the PS2 era, but it still bugs me. In the end though, what Beenox gives us is a Spiderman game that really only goes a little beyond what it needs to do: make it feel like we're playing Spiderman. But in the end, that isn't enough to make it a great game. Graphics and great music and fun fighting mechanics are all very important, and they certainly devliver on those levels as I feel Beenox always has (not including Edge of Time), but there are still certain variables that they need, in a free-roaming game especially, to make it the truly great game that I believe Beenox might be able to give us. Let's just hope they give the proper time and care to make the next Spiderman game as amazing as the character deserves.

Best Spider-Man Game Yet!
This is the best Spider-Man game yet. Beenox took all the good features from previous games and put them all together. Free roaming from Spider-Man 2 and 3, stealth from Spider-Man 1 and Shattered Dimensions, and graphics of the latest Spider-Man games. The collectables are fun to collect, especially when the go on your map once you get 500 of them. And the enemies range from Lizard to Scorpian to random thugs. It took me 22 hours to get 100%, if you are looking for a good Super Hero game, this is it.

Cool, but can be better
This game is great. The story line is great. The only problem with this is their isn't much to do. You can only do story line and free roam. Rest is awesome! The achievements can boost your gamer score A LOT! Not a perfect game, but cool. Get this game.

GREAT GAME
I think that this is the best spider-man game overall. I just bought it and haven't put the controller down since. swinging into action beating up bad guys, rescuing people and completing challenges make you feel like you are actually Spiderman. I strongly recommend this to anyone that loves to play as a hero. Many hidden suits to find and a big open world to explore all as your friendly neighborhood Spidey.

Caution for when you buy!
I pre-ordered "The Amazing Spider-Man" about four months ago and got it on the firstday. When I firs played the game I was blow away by the graphics. The graphics make the city feel real and so alive. Be aware that the campaign isn't very long. The fighting style of Spider-Man can get old because the variety is not very wide. Be very cautious when buying the game because after campaign it's just a few crimes and sick people to take care of. Other than those few issues the game is really fun and you can replay the levels so you're not completely out of luck when the game ends. To sum this all up, I recommend "The Amazing Spider-Man."
