What happend?
Well I recently picked up this game recently thinking it would be like the old tony hawk games (THUG, THUG2, THAW.) and I was horribly mistaken. They changed EVERYTHING about Tony Hawk games in this one, the create a Skater is the most number one thing I hated the most. Your character type (Punk, Urban, Kid, Female, Some other one) depends on the cloths you get to wear. Really Never soft? And that's not all, the game play is horrible. They tried to make a SKATE remixed with Tony Hawk style, lame I say. And the environment mostly, every time I tried to continue a single combo I'd end up hitting a breakable wall hoping I could wall plant it, why make something you can grind on just fine and if you crash into it it just gets destroyed? Honestly its a pretty lame game, but its decent if you really like Tony Hawk games and do not get angry very easily.

Best Tony Hawk Yet
THP8 is the best game in the series by far. It keeps the traditional game play style but adds new and different challenges. Includes many levels that flow together flawlessly. Takes a day or two to get used to how to unlock new areas etc. Have owned every Tony Hawk game ever made and it is by far the best. Much better than the newer proving ground. Great story line, but be warned, unless you are an addict and want to spend half your life playing this game, you will never make it to number 1. But hey, get in the top 8 and you're set. Great experience completing goals, finding secret spots, hitting gaps, and more to move up the rankings. Stand out against your fellow 299 other skaters who are all fighting for a spot in Tony's Hawk's group of elite skaters - Project 8.

Tony Hawk's Best Yet
If you were to buy this game, it would be like buying a former best-seller, which I think are better. Project 8 has a great storyline, more than 100 people on a quest being in the top 8 in the city, and you are one of them. Lots of maps to choose from, including an awesome skate park covered with the graffiti that looks so realistic. There is a factory, a construction yard, a school, a theme park, and a couple more maps. There is just about any hairstyle, wheels, deck, shoes, griptape, shirt, sock style, hat, and pair of pants to choose from. There are also graffiti challenges, demos, and other stuff, including doing pro skateboarder's challenges. There is Amatuer level, Pro level, and Sick level. You can do just about any kind of trick, including manual tricks. Not only that, but it has different storylines. The PS2 and PSP have one, then the 360 and PS3 have one.
