The games not awful just not good, here is why the sound is only in japenese you have subtitles, the gameplays the best part of the game and its not that good, the lasting appel so bad there,s an achievment for playing for a hour and it around a month maybe longer to get it. 'Btw i only had two games
Not as bad as others would say
I'm a casual gamer, and proud of it. It's a good game if your just tired with what you have, and want something to help fill in the gap before you start cleaning your room. Controls are fairly simple, you move, have to types of attacks, and when you want, you can enter your ultimate form. Depends on which character you choose. Graphics are not the best in the world by most standards, but they get the job done. The menu is clear, and gets to the point. Depending on your skill level, this can take up 8-10 hours. The music is good, a bit old, but still good. There really is no story, it's just character talking to the other characters before battle, then robots battle to the end. Overall, this was a good game, filled in the gaps, and I'm glad to have played it.
I got this game because it was cheap. I didn't expect much. It didn't meet my expectations. Game-play consists of controlling your chosen robot thing from above and using one of two attacks. If these fail you, you can enter boss mode, where you transform some kind of giant robot thing, and then you can use your same two attacks. The game follows the standard fighter format, pitting you against all the other characters and then a boss. The fights generally go the same way, and they are either easy or impossibly hard. I have to say I like the look of the game, the graphics are primitive but pretty, and the menus aren't bad. The music was basically what you would expect, some kind of bad mix of synth-pop and techno, like the battle music from old RPGs. The dialogue makes absolutely no sense. I'm used to poorly translated dialogue and bad voice acting, but this was just ridiculous. The characters are supposed to be talking to each other before each match, I think, but they seem to just say random words. And don't get the impression this is one of those games where it's funny because it's bad. It's not. It's just bad.
Can't believe it's coming out stateside
The shmup genre still lives! UbiSoft is doing a great thing here, releasing a game like this (that is, a game with so-called "old-school" gameplay). Buy it if you still appreciate that arcade feel, and hope to see ya online. Lemme tell ya, this game takes skill online!
Play the Japanese Version...
Frankly, I cant say this would be Zone of Enders for 360 as the graphics are subpar though you do get pretty lights when you fire off your lasers and the controls work but doesnt bring anything new to the table. When released in the US, I see this game getting 3/5 stars. So if you wish to try this game, setup a Japanese Xbox Live account and download the demo.
Anime shmup / fighter
If you like shoot-em-ups (or shmups) like Ikaruga, as well as anime, mechs, and fighting games, then this game has your name written all over it. Think of it as an Xbox 360 version of Zone Of The Enders, only with more qualities from shmups and fighting games. This game has received critical acclaim in Japan, and received a gold medal from Japanase gaming magazine Famitsu. The game will feature a single player campaign as well as multiplayer over Xbox Live. A must have for fans of the genre!
